Ater James "AJ" Majok is a professional basketball player for US Monastir of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). Born in Sudan and raised in Australia, Majok represents Lebanon internationally. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2011 NBA draft with the 58th overall pick. Standing at 6 ft 11 in, Majok mostly stands out with his athletic and defensive abilities. He was the BAL Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.
Mouloukou Souleyman Diabate, commonly known as Solo Diabate, is an Ivorian basketball player for Al Ahly Benghazi of the Basketball Africa League (BAL).
Omar Abada is a Tunisian professional basketball player who plays for Al Ahly since 2023. Abada also plays for the Tunisia national basketball team.
Joseph Lual-Acuil Jr. is a South Sudanese-Australian professional basketball player for Al Ahly Ly of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). He played college basketball for Neosho County Community College and Baylor University. Lual-Acuil holds the record for most points scored in a Basketball Africa League (BAL) game with 42 points.
The 2021 BAL season, also known as BAL Season 1, was the inaugural season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). Established as a joint effort between the National Basketball Association (NBA) and FIBA, the BAL is the highest tier continental league of Africa, replacing the FIBA Africa Basketball League. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the BAL held its inaugural season one year later as planned, with the season beginning in 2021. Initially the league planned to play in six venues in six countries; however, due to the pandemic the season was held in a bio-secure bubble in Kigali, Rwanda. The season began on 16 May 2021 and ended on 30 May 2021.

Khaman Madit Maluach is a South Sudanese basketball player who currently plays for the City Oilers of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), under a development program with the NBA Academy Africa. Standing at 7 ft 2 in (2.18 m), he plays the center position. He is also a current member of the South Sudan national team, whom he joined at age of 16.
The Nile Conference of the 2023 BAL season is played from 26 April to 6 May 2023 and will be played in the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall in 6th of October, Cairo, Egypt. The four highest-ranked teams advance to the 2023 BAL Playoffs where they will each meet a team from the Nile Conference in the quarter-finals.
The 2024 BAL season, also known as BAL Season 4, will be the 4th season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The season began on 9 March 2024 and will finish with the final on 1 June 2024, which will be played in the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda for a fourth consecutive season.

The 2024 BAL Nile Conference was the 3rd season of the Nile Conference, one of the three conferences of the 2024 season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The composition of the conference and the schedule were announced on 15 February 2024. The conference games began on 19 April and ended on 27 April 2024.
The 2024 BAL playoffs will be the postseason tournament of the 2024 BAL season to determine the champions of the 4th Basketball Africa League (BAL) season. The playoffs will begin on 24 May 2024 with the seeding games and finish on 1 June 2024 with the final. For a fourth consecutive season, the playoffs will be hosted in the BK Arena in Kigali.
Although Khaman Maluach came up another terrific individual performance, finishing with 16 points, 19 rebounds, and set a record for most blocks (7) in a BAL game, the Oilers couldn't capitalize from it.
