Gateshead Football Club is a professional association football club based in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, England. The club competes in the National League, the fifth level of the English football league system, as of the 2023–24 season. The team play their home matches at the Gateshead International Stadium.

Chester-le-Street Town Football Club is a football club based in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, England. They are currently members of the Northern League Division Two and play at Moor Park.
Dunston UTS Football Club is a football club based in the Dunston area of Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, England. They are currently members of the Northern Premier League Division One East and play at the UTS Stadium.
Gateshead United Football Club was a football club based in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, England. The club was established in South Shields in 1936 as a replacement for the club that had relocated to Gateshead in 1930. Like their predecessor, the club was relocated to Gateshead in 1974 after the former club went bust. Renamed Gateshead United, they folded three years later.

He played in the Premier League and Football League for Nottingham Forest, Derby County, Notts County and Leicester City and managed in the Football League with Notts County and York City. He was recently the manager of Northern Premier League Division One Midlands club Corby Town.

Ian Bogie is a former professional footballer, and former manager of Gateshead and Stockport County. He spent two decades as a professional player; from 1985 until 2001, he played in the English Football League, where he made 382 appearances.
Jeffrey George "Jeff" Wrightson is an English former footballer who made 170 appearances in the Football League playing as a defender for Newcastle United and Preston North End. He went on to play for a number of non-League clubs, in particular Gateshead where he made more than 200 appearances and where from 2007 to 2010 he was assistant manager.

The 2010–11 FA Trophy is the 41st season of the FA Trophy, the Football Association's cup competition for teams at levels 5–8 of the English football league system. A total of 266 clubs have entered the competition. This was reduced to 265 when Ilkeston Town withdrew after the club was wound up.
Gateshead Association Football Club was a football club based in Gateshead, County Durham, England. The club was formed in South Shields in 1899 as South Shields Adelaide Athletic. After success in the North Eastern League prior to World War I, they were voted into the Football League in 1919. Financial problems in the late 1920s saw the club relocate to Gateshead in 1930, adopting the name of their new town. They remained in the Football League until 1960, when they were surprisingly voted out of the Football League and replaced by Peterborough United, despite not having had to apply for re-election since 1937. They subsequently played in regional leagues before folding in 1973. In order to replace them, another South Shields club was then moved to Gateshead, becoming Gateshead United.
