This is a list of seasons played by Norwich City F.C. in English and European football, from 1902 (the year of the club's foundation) to the most recent completed season.
Following their foundation in 1902, Norwich City played amateur football against teams from around Norfolk. Norwich were stunned in 1904 when an FA Commission declared them to be professional and ejected them from the FA Amateur Cup. This made them even more determined and at a meeting in 1905 at the Agricultural Hall new officials established a professional football club. Norwich joined the Southern League that year and played their home games in Newmarket Road.[ citation needed ]
The club has won the Football League Cup twice, the second flight five times, the third flight twice and has a highest ever league finish of third in the Premier League. This list details the club's achievements in all major competitions, and the top scorers for each season.

Shortly afterwards, the club won its first major trophy, the 1962 League Cup. Norwich finally reached the pinnacle of the league structure in 1972, with their first promotion to the top tier.

Norwich spent most of the season in the bottom half of the Premier League table, but only in two short periods, in September and October, were they actually in the relegation zone and this is where they slipped back to in the final few matches of the season. They finished the season in eighteenth place in the Premier League and were subsequently relegated to the Championship. Norwich lost in a replay to Fulham in the third round of the FA Cup and to Manchester United in the fourth round of the League Cup. It was a season that saw the sacking of manager Chris Hughton and the appointment of former Norwich player Neil Adams as his replacement with five games left to play.
