Molde Fotballklubb, also known simply as Molde FK, is a Norwegian professional football club based in Molde. The club is affiliated with Nordmøre og Romsdal Fotballkrets and play their home games at Aker Stadion. [1] Formed on 19 June 1911, the club have won five national league titles and five national cup titles. [2] Molde participated in the UEFA Champions League in 1999 where they met Real Madrid, Porto and Olympiacos in the group stage. [3] This made them the second Norwegian football club, to have reached the group stage of the competition. Currently playing in Eliteserien, where the season lasts from March to November. They won their first championship in 2011, and defended the title in 2012. In 2014 they won their first league and cup double. Molde also had a successful period from 1994 to 2005, when they won two Norwegian Cup titles, and finished second in the league on four occasions. Since playing their first competitive match, a number of players have made a competitive first-team appearance for the club, of whom a number of players have made at least 100 appearances (including substitute appearances).
Molde's record appearance-maker is Daniel Berg Hestad, who made a total of 666 appearances over a 23-year playing career; he broke his father Stein Olav Hestad's previous appearance record.

Molde Fotballklubb is a professional football club based in Molde, Norway, that competes in Eliteserien, the top flight of Norwegian football. Founded on 19 June 1911, the club was originally known as International and changed its name to Molde in 1915. Molde are five-time league champions and five-time Norwegian Cup winners, and have finished second in the league a further nine times. Molde is one of only two Norwegian clubs to have participated in the UEFA Champions League.
Daniel Berg Hestad is a Norwegian football manager and a former player, who played as a central midfielder, most notably for Molde. He is the manager of Molde 2 and the Under-19 squad of Molde. With 666 official appearances, he is the player with most official matches for Molde. He currently holds the record for most matches in Eliteserien with 473. He is three time Norwegian league champion, and four times Norwegian Cup champion. He retired from football after playing the Europa League round of 32 game against Sevilla which Molde won 1–0, 25 February 2016, in his 666th match for Molde. He holds the club record for most official matches for Molde.
Mattias Kent Moström is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a right midfielder for SK Træff. He played most of his career for Norwegian Eliteserien club Molde. He started his career with AIK, before he made his senior debut with FC Café Opera. He later returned to AIK before he moved to Molde in 2007.
Trond Strande is a Norwegian football coach and former footballer who is currently assistant coach in Eliteserien club Molde. He spent his entire career playing for Molde FK and was a regular on Molde's team from 1991 to 2007.
Vegard Valgermo Forren is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for KÍ Klaksvík. He was capped over 30 times for the Norway national team.
The 2011 season was Molde's 4th consecutive year in Tippeligaen, and their 35th season in the top flight of Norwegian football. Molde became league champions for the first time in club history.
The 2013 season was Molde's sixth consecutive year in Tippeligaen, and their 37th season in the top flight of Norwegian football. It was Ole Gunnar Solskjær's third season as the club's manager. Molde were the defending champions in Tippeligaen, but lost their first four matches in the league and collected six points in the first ten games. The team did however turn the bad form, and finished the season in sixth place. The team won the 2013 Norwegian Football Cup, after defeating their main rivals Rosenborg 4–2 in the final. In Europe, Molde entered the UEFA Champions League in the second qualifying round, where they defeated Sligo Rovers. In the next round, the team was eliminated by Legia Warszawa on away goals. Molde proceeded to the Europe League play-off round, where they were knocked out by Rubin Kazan.
Eirik Hestad is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Cypriot First Division club Pafos.
The 2016 season was Molde's ninth consecutive year in Tippeligaen, and their 40th season in the top flight of Norwegian football. Along with the Tippeligaen, the club also competed in the Norwegian Cup and 2015–16 UEFA Europa League.
The 2017 season was Molde's tenth consecutive year in the top flight which from the beginning of this season is known as Eliteserien, and their 41st season in the top flight of Norwegian football. Along with the Eliteserien, the club also competed in the Norwegian Cup.

They participated in Eliteserien, winning the title for the 4th time, reached the third round of the Cup and were knocked out of the 2019–20 UEFA Europa League in the playoff round by FK Partizan after entering at the First qualifying round stage. Molde were scheduled to take part in the 2019 Mesterfinalen against Rosenborg, but the match was cancelled 15 March 2019 due to heavy rain.
Molde Fotballklubb is a football club from Molde, Norway. It was established in 1911 as International by a group of people gathered by Klaus Daae Andersen. After permission was granted, it took the current name and joined the league system in 1928. Until 1937, Molde played in regional leagues, after numerous promotions and relegations. Since 1930, the team has played in the Norwegian Football Cup. In 1939, the club joined the third season of the League of Norway, the top division, but the break-out of the World War II caused a halt to all organized sports and thus this season was never completed.

The 2022 season was Molde's 15th consecutive year in Eliteserien, and their 46th season in the top flight of Norwegian football. Molde finished the season as Champions of the Eliteserien and the 2021–22 Norwegian Cup, progressed to the Fourth Round of the 2022–23 Norwegian Cup, and were knocked out of the Europa Conference League in the group stage after finishing 3rd behind Djurgårdens and Gent, but ahead of Shamrock Rovers.
