Oldham Athletic Association Football Club is a professional association football club in Oldham, Greater Manchester, England. The team compete in the National League, the fifth level of the English football league system, as of the 2024–25 season.
Graeme Marshall Sharp is a Scottish former professional football player and manager. Sharp played as a forward for Dumbarton, Everton, Oldham Athletic and Bangor City. He enjoyed great success with Everton, helping them win English league championships in 1985 and 1987, the FA Cup in 1984 and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1985. He made 12 international appearances for Scotland, and was selected in their 1986 World Cup squad.
Lee David Croft is an English former professional footballer who played as a right winger for Manchester City, Norwich City, Derby County, Huddersfield Town and Oldham Athletic. He also appears on Soccer AM as "Lee Croft, Story Teller", telling stories that end with the catch phrase "You can't handle the truth!"

Joseph Nathan Mills is an English former professional footballer, who mainly played as a left back but also played as a left-sided midfielder.
John Oldham was an American college and professional basketball player, college basketball coach and athletic director. Oldham interrupted his studies at Western Kentucky University (WKU) to serve in the US Navy during World War II. He was on the university's basketball team and after graduation in 1949 played for the Fort Wayne Pistons. Oldham went into coaching in 1952 at College High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky. In 1955 he became coach of the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles men's basketball and led the team to three conference championships. He returned to WKU in 1964 to coach the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers basketball team, leading them to four NCAA tournaments, one NIT, and winning four Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) championships. In 1971 Oldham was promoted to athletic director at WKU, a position he held until 1986. During his tenure the university won six OVC and one Sun Belt Conference All-Sports Championship. After retirement he was elected to the Bowling Green City Commission.
John William McCue was an English footballer who played in the Football League for Oldham Athletic and Stoke City.
Ryan Flynn is a Scottish footballer, who plays as a midfielder for Scottish Premiership club St Mirren. Born in Edinburgh, he started his career with Liverpool before spells at Wrexham, Falkirk, Sheffield United and Oldham Athletic. He has also represented Scotland at under-19 level.

Along with the league, the club will also compete in the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the EFL Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022. It was the most disastrous season in the club's history, which resulted in relegation and loss of English Football League status after 115 years.
