Crystal Palace Football Club, commonly referred to as simply Palace, is a professional football club based in Selhurst, South London, England, which competes in the Premier League, the top tier of English football.
Kenneth Graham Sansom is a former professional footballer who played as a left-back. An England international, he played for clubs such as Crystal Palace, Arsenal, Newcastle United, Coventry City, Queens Park Rangers, Everton and Watford.
Ronald Leslie Rooke was an English footballer who played as a centre forward. During his three decades' playing career, he scored at least 931 goals in 1029 official matches, among which more than 765 league goals at all levels. According to the RSSSF, he is the best league goalscorer of all time, and the third overall behind Erwin Helmchen and Josef Bican.
John Akin Salako is an English former professional football player, coach, and sports television pundit.
Crystal Palace Football Club is an English professional association football club based in Selhurst, South London, England. Although formally created as a professional outfit in 1905 at the site of the famous Crystal Palace Exhibition building, the club's origins can be traced as far back as 1861. In recognition of this, the club changed the date of its official crest to 1861. The club played their home games inside the grounds of the Palace at the FA Cup Final stadium from 1905 until 1915, when they were forced to leave due to the outbreak of the First World War. They moved to their current home at Selhurst Park in 1924.

The Brighton & Hove Albion–Crystal Palace rivalry, sometimes nicknamed the A23 derby or the M23 derby by the media, is between English football teams Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace.
The 2013 Football League Championship play-off final was an association football match which was played on 27 May 2013 at Wembley Stadium, London, between Crystal Palace and Watford. The match was to determine the third and final team to gain promotion from the Football League Championship, the second tier of English football, to the Premier League. The top two teams of the 2012–13 Football League Championship season gained automatic promotion to the Premier League, while the teams placed from third to sixth place in the table partook in play-off semi-finals; Watford ended the season in third position while Crystal Palace finished fifth. The winners of these semi-finals competed for the final place for the 2013–14 season in the Premier League. Winning the game was estimated to be worth up to £120 million to the successful team.
The 2016 FA Cup final was an association football match between Crystal Palace and Manchester United on 21 May 2016 at Wembley Stadium in London, England, organised by the Football Association (FA). It marked the 135th final of the Football Association Challenge Cup and was the showpiece match of English football's primary cup competition. It was Manchester United's first FA Cup final appearance since 2007, when they lost 1–0 to Chelsea. Crystal Palace were playing their second FA Cup final, the previous occasion being in 1990, when they lost to Manchester United after a replay following a 3–3 draw in the first match.
The Crystal Palace Football Club Player of the Year is awarded at the end of each season. Since the inaugural award was made to John McCormick in 1972, 37 players have won the award. Nine of these players have won the award for a second time, the most recent being Wilfried Zaha. Three players have received the award on more than two occasions, Zaha and Jim Cannon have won it three times and Julián Speroni four times. Paul Hinshelwood was the first to win the trophy in consecutive seasons, a feat since emulated by Andrew Johnson, Julián Speroni and Wilfried Zaha, with the latter two going on to win in a third consecutive season. The current incumbent of the award is Jean-Philippe Mateta, who was the 2023–24 recipient.

The Crystal Palace F.C. Under-21s is the Under-21 Development team of Crystal Palace Football Club. They play in Premier League 2, the top level of reserve football in England and also compete in the Premier League Cup, Premier League International Cup and EFL Trophy.
The 2020–21 season was Crystal Palace's eighth consecutive season in the Premier League and the 115th year in their history. This season, Palace participated in the Premier League, FA Cup and EFL Cup. The season covered the period from 27 July 2020 to 30 June 2021. Palace finished the season in fourteenth place which also saw the departure of manager Roy Hodgson upon the expiration of his contract.
The 1989–90 season was the 74th season of competitive association football and 63rd season in the Football League played by Crystal Palace Football Club, a professional football club based in Selhurst, South London, England. Their promotion via the Second Division play-offs in 1988–89 meant they played in the First Division, after an eight-year absence from the top division of the English football league system. The season ran from 1 July 1989 to 30 June 1990.
