Queen's Park Football Club is a Scottish professional football club based in Glasgow, Scotland. Between 1867 and 1900, the first team competed in cup competitions. [1] Between 1900 and 2013, the first team competed in the Scottish League and since 2013, in the Scottish Professional League. [1] All players who have played in 100 or more such matches are listed below.

Records and notable players

Ross Caven holds the record for the greatest number of appearances for Queen's Park, having made 594 between 1982 and 2002. [2] [3] As of 2016, two other players have made more than 500 appearances for Queen's Park – James Crawford and James McAlpine. The club's goalscoring record is held by James McAlpine, who scored 192 goals in 547 appearances between 1920 and 1934. [4]

Current Queen's Park players who have made 100 or more appearances for the club are Louis Longridge and Thomas Robson.

Davie McParland was a Scottish football player and manager. He played for Partick Thistle for his whole senior career, making over 400 league appearances.

John Hunter Devine, also known as Hunter Devine, was a Scottish amateur footballer who played as an inside forward for Queen's Park between 1953 and 1961. Devine represented Great Britain at the 1960 Summer Olympics and also played in non-League football.

The Glasgow Merchants' Charity Cup was a knockout football tournament open to teams from in and around Glasgow and later on in the tournament's history, teams from outwith Glasgow. Invitations were made and sent out by the Glasgow Charity Cup Committee (GCCC) at their discretion, but no criteria were ever published.

Harold McDonald Paul was a Scottish amateur football forward who played in the Scottish League for Queen's Park. He was capped by Scotland at international level.

James Kinloch was a Scottish footballer who played as an inside right.

Thomas Hutton Bremner was a Scottish footballer who played in the Scottish League for Queen's Park, Motherwell and Hamilton Academical as an inside forward. He represented Scotland at amateur level and made one appearance for the Scottish League XI. Bremner was described as "a naturally clever footballer, versatile enough to play in any of the forward positions”.

George Strachan Ramsay was a Scottish professional footballer who played in the Scottish League for Queen's Park, Rangers, Ayr United and Partick Thistle as an inside right.

Ralph Risk CBE, MC and Bar was a Scottish solicitor, lawyer and president of the Law Society of Scotland. He also briefly played as an outside forward in the Scottish League for Queen's Park and was later the president of the club between 1935 and 1938.

James Walker was a Scottish professional footballer who made over 180 appearances as an inside forward in the Scottish League for Third Lanark. He took part in the club's off-season tour of South America in 1923. He also played for Dundee United and Queen's Park.

Robert Angus McFarlane was a Scottish professional footballer who played as an inside left in the Scottish League for Queen's Park, Partick Thistle, Arbroath and Dundee United.

James Barbour McAlpine, sometimes known as J. B. McAlpine or Mutt McAlpine, was a Scottish amateur footballer who played as an inside left for Queen's Park in the Scottish Football League. He is Queen's Park's record goalscorer and second-highest appearance-maker, having scored 192 goals in 547 appearances in all competitions. He later served on the club's committee and as president. In September 2013, Queen's Park's new youth and community building at Lesser Hampden was named the "J. B. McAlpine Pavilion".

James F. Templeton was a Scottish amateur footballer who played as a left half in the Scottish League for Queen's Park. He represented the Scottish League XI.

James Eadie was a Scottish amateur football wing half and full back who played in the Scottish League for Queen's Park.

William Martin was a Scottish professional footballer who made over 170 appearances in the Scottish League for as a centre forward for Queen's Park and Clyde. In representative football, he was capped by Scotland Amateurs and the Scottish League XI.

Carrick Hamilton was a Scottish amateur football outside left who played in the Scottish League for Queen's Park and Partick Thistle.
