Seton Hall Preparatory School, generally called Seton Hall Prep, SHP, or "The Prep", is a Roman Catholic all boys' high school located in the suburban community of West Orange in Essex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating under the supervision of the Archdiocese of Newark. Founded in 1856 with an original enrollment of five boys, Seton Hall Prep was originally located on the campus of Seton Hall University, where it became commonly known as "The Prep" as a way to distinguish it from "The University." In 1985, the school moved to its present location which was, at the time, West Orange High School. Seton Hall is the oldest Catholic college preparatory school in New Jersey.

Bergen Catholic High School is an all-male Roman Catholic high school in Oradell, Bergen County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, serving students in ninth through twelfth grade. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1989 and is accredited until January 2026.

St. Augustine Preparatory School is a private all-male Roman Catholic. college preparatory school located in the Richland section of Buena Vista Township, in Atlantic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Located on 118 acres (0.48 km2) of wooded property, it serves students in eighth through twelfth grade from across South Jersey under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Camden. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1983 and the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools. St. Augustine was founded in 1959 by the Order of Saint Augustine as a minor seminary to help young men prepare for studies in the priesthood and religious life; the first class was a mixture of seminarians and day students. The school is a member of the Augustinian Secondary Education Association.

Walter F. Dukes was a center for the New York Knicks (1955–1956), Minneapolis Lakers (1956–1957) and Detroit Pistons (1957–1963). He played college basketball for the Seton Hall Pirates.

Stanley Anthony Woods is a former professional American football linebacker and defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) who played for the Seattle Seahawks from 1987 to 1992, as well as the Los Angeles Rams and the Washington Redskins. He played college football at the University of Pittsburgh.

The Patrick School is an independent private co-educational four-year high school in Hillside in Union County, New Jersey, United States. The school was established in 2012 following the closure of St. Patrick High School Academy, which was a co-educational four-year Catholic high school in Elizabeth, New Jersey, that operated under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark and had been founded as a vocational school in 1863 as part of Saint Patrick's Parish in Elizabeth, making it the oldest parochial high school in New Jersey. The Patrick School originally operated on the site in Elizabeth that had been St. Patrick High School and the school has continued to carry on the legacy of its predecessor even after its move to Hillside.

West Side High School is a four-year comprehensive community public high school complex in Newark, in Essex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating as part of the Newark Public Schools.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Jim Lansing</span> American football player and coach (1919–2000)

James Samuel Lansing was a college football player and coach at Fordham University. As an All-American end in the 1940s, Lansing participated in the 1941 Cotton Bowl Classic and 1942 Sugar Bowl. Prior to the start of his senior season he was called into duty by the Navy Air Corps to fight in World War II as a fighter pilot. Upon return to Fordham for the 1946 season, Lansing injured his shoulder in the first game, ending his football playing career.

Chester Louis "Chet" Parlavecchio is an American football coach and former linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) who later became an assistant special teams coach and linebackers coach with the Tennessee Titans. He also served as a defensive assistant at Temple University and as a head coach for various high schools in his native New Jersey.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Jarrod Johnson</span> American football player (born 1969)

Jarrod Godette Johnson, is a former professional American football player who played in the National Football League for the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Diego Chargers, as well as for the Sacramento Surge of the World League of American Football, with whom he won the World Bowl in 1992.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Keven McDonald</span> American basketball player

Keven McDonald is an American former basketball player known for his collegiate career at the University of Pennsylvania from 1974 to 1978 with the Penn Quakers men's basketball team. He won the Robert V. Geasey Trophy as a junior and was named the Ivy League Player of the Year as a senior. Following his career at Penn, McDonald was selected in the 1978 NBA draft by the Seattle SuperSonics as the 42nd overall pick. He went on to earn a J.D. degree from Rutgers Law School–Newark and is now a licensed attorney and real estate investor in New Jersey.

St. Cecilia High School was a Catholic high school in Englewood, in Bergen County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, that operated under the supervision of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark until it closed in 1986.

Our Lady of the Valley High School was a Catholic high school in Orange in Essex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, that operated under the supervision of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark.
