There are UNICEF National Committees in 34 countries worldwide, [1] each established as an independent local non-governmental organization. Serving as the public face and dedicated voice of UNICEF, the National Committees raise funds from the private sector, promote children's rights, and secure worldwide visibility for children threatened by poverty, disasters, armed conflict, abuse and exploitation.

UNICEF is funded exclusively by voluntary contributions, and the National Committees collectively raise around one-third of UNICEF's annual income. This comes through contributions from corporations, civil society organizations and more than 6 million individual donors worldwide. They also rally many different partners – including the media, national and local government officials, NGOs, specialists such as doctors and lawyers, corporations, schools, young people and the general public – on issues related to children’s rights.

CENELEC is responsible for European standardization in the area of electrical engineering. Together with ETSI (telecommunications) and CEN, it forms the European system for technical standardization. Standards harmonised by these agencies are regularly adopted in many countries outside Europe which follow European technical standards. Although CENELEC works closely with the European Union, it is not an EU institution. Nevertheless, its standards are "EN" EU standards, thanks to EU Regulation 1025/2012.

Miss Europe 1996 was the 51st edition of the Miss Europe pageant and the 40th edition under the Mondial Events Organization. It was held in Tirana, Albania on 28 September 1996. Marie-Claire Harrison of England, was crowned Miss Europe 1996 by outgoing titleholder Monika Žídková of the Czech Republic.

Miss Europe 1993 was the 48th edition of the Miss Europe pageant and the 37th edition under the Mondial Events Organization. It was held in Istanbul, Turkey on July 12, 1993. Arzum Onan of Turkey, was crowned Miss Europe 1993 by outgoing titleholder Marina Tsintikidou of Greece.

The EuroBasket Women 2023 qualification was held from November 2021 to February 2023 to decide the 14 teams to join the co-hosts Israel and Slovenia. It featured 38 teams split in ten groups of three or four teams. The ten group winners and the four best second-ranked teams qualified for the final tournament.
