Piku is a 2015 Indian comedy-drama film directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by N.P. Singh, Ronnie Lahiri and Sneha Rajani. [1] The film stars Deepika Padukone as the eponymous protagonist, alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan. Moushumi Chatterjee and Jisshu Sengupta play supporting roles. [2] It was written by Juhi Chaturvedi and the musical score was composed by Anupam Roy. [1] Piku tells the story of a headstrong Bengali architect, who along with her hypochondriac father and a helpful businessman embark on a road trip from New Delhi to Kolkata. [3] [4]

Made on an estimated budget of 420 million (US$5.3 million), Piku was released on 8 May 2015, and grossed approximately 1.41 billion (US$18 million) worldwide. [5] [6] The film garnered awards and nominations in several categories, with particular praise for its writing, music, and the performances of Padukone and Bachchan. As of June 2016, the film has won a minimum of 35 awards.

At the 63rd National Film Awards, Piku won Best Actor (Bachchan), Best Original Screenplay and Best Dialogues. [7] At the 61st Filmfare Awards ceremony, Piku won five awards, including Best Film – Critics, Best Actress (Padukone), and Best Actor – Critics (Bachchan). [8] The film also garnered nominations for Best Film and Best Director at the ceremony. [9] In addition, Piku won four awards, including Best Actor and Best Actress for Bachchan and Padukone, respectively, at the 22nd Screen Awards ceremony. [10] Among other wins, the film received three Indian Film Festival of Melbourne Awards, three International Indian Film Academy Awards, two Stardust Awards, and five awards each from the BIG Star Entertainment and Zee Cine award ceremonies.

Indian actress Deepika Padukone primarily appears in Hindi films. Her first screen appearance was in Himesh Reshammiya's music video "Naam Hai Tera" in 2005. Padukone made her film debut by playing the titular role in the Kannada-language film Aishwarya (2006). Her first Hindi film release came the following year with Farah Khan's melodrama Om Shanti Om, in which she played dual roles opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Principal photography began in August 2014 and was wrapped up in December. Anupam Roy composed the soundtrack and score, and wrote the lyrics.

Bajirao Mastani is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language epic historical romance film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who co-produced it with Eros International and composed its soundtrack. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra with Tanvi Azmi, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Milind Soman, Mahesh Manjrekar and Aditya Pancholi in supporting roles. Based on Nagnath S. The official ceremony took place on 25 June 2016 in IFEMA, Madrid, Spain. The nominations were announced on 26 May 2016.

Bajirao Mastani is the soundtrack album, composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali with assistance by Shreyas Puranik & Devrath to the 2015 Hindi film of the same name. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. The album, originally recorded in Hindi features nine songs, and was released on 31 October 2015 by Eros Music. The original score of the film is composed by Sanchit Balhara.

"Mohe Rang Do Laal" is a song from the 2015 Bollywood film, Bajirao Mastani. It was composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Pandit Birju Maharaj. The lyrics were written by Siddharth-Garima. The song features Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in the video. Padukone took Kathak dance lessons from Pandit Birju Maharaj, who also choreographed the song. The movie was dubbed into Tamil and Telugu and hence the song was also released as "Podhai Nirathai Thaa" in Tamil and "Meera Chittachora" in Telugu on 15 December 2015. Shreya Ghoshal and Pandit Birju Maharaj sang in all the three versions of the song. The song was reprised in MTV Unplugged season 6 and was also sung by Ghoshal.
