Park Ji-min, known mononymously as Jimin, is a South Korean singer, songwriter and dancer. In 2013, he made his debut as a member of the South Korean boy band BTS, under the record label Big Hit Entertainment.
Alyssa Michelle Stephens, known professionally as Latto, is an American rapper and singer from Atlanta. She first appeared on Jermaine Dupri's reality television series The Rap Game in 2016, where she was known as Miss Mulatto and won the show's first season, but rejected the award of a recording contract with Dupri's So So Def Recordings.
The MAMA Award for Fans' Choice of the Year, previously named Worldwide Icon of the Year, is a daesang award presented annually by CJ E&M (Mnet). It was first awarded at the 20th Mnet Asian Music Awards ceremony held in 2018 and is a 100% fan-voted accolade.
The MTV Europe Music Award for Best K-Pop is an award category at the MTV Europe Music Awards that was first presented in 2021. It is one of the current Asian categories of the ceremony along with Best Asian Act and the former category Best Korean Act, though it is the first to reward artist(s) of K-pop music as a musical genre, and not as a nationality. The 2023 Melon Music Awards was an awards ceremony held on December 2, 2023. It was organized by Melon, and Kakao Entertainment and broadcast through Melon, and Wavve in South Korea, Abema in Japan, and Beyond Live in selected regions.
