Liga de Elite, previously known as Campeonato da 1ª Divisão do Futebol, is the top division of the Macau Football Association, created in 1973. The league is featuring local players and professional foreign players. Due to the lack of football fields in Macau, most matches are played at the Estádio Campo Desportivo. As with Hong Kong, the league is separate from the mainland Chinese football league system. The league is generally played between January and July of each calendar year.

The series was first aired on TVB Jade in Hong Kong in 2001. It starred Benny Chan, Chin Kar-lok, Irene Wan, Michelle Ye, Dickson Lee, Yuen Wah, Kingdom Yuen and Winnie Yeung in the lead roles.
Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils, also known as Dragon Story, is a 1984 Hong Kong film based on Louis Cha's novel of the same title. The film was directed and produced by Siu Sang and starred Norman Chui, Kent Tong, Felix Wong, Idy Chan, Lam Jan-kei and Austin Wai. The film is not to be confused with the television series of the same title produced by TVB, which was also released in the same year and shared some common cast members.

Daniel Augusto Macedo de Melo e Pinto, better known as Dani Pinto, is a football manager who coaches SL Benfica de Macau and a retired footballer who played as a defender. Born in Cape Verde prior to it becoming independent from Portugal, he has moved first to the metropole, where he played for Académica de Coimbra, and C.F. União de Coimbra. In early 1990s, he moved to Macau, which was Portuguese as well. Being there, he has played for Leng Ngan, G.D. Negro Rubro, G.D. Lam Pak, Kuan Tai, F.C. Porto de Macau and for the senior Macau national team.
