In cricket, a five-wicket haul (also known as a "five-for" or "fifer") refers to a bowler taking five or more wickets in a single innings. This is regarded as a notable achievement. [3] This article details the five-wicket hauls taken on the ground in official international Test matches, One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals.

Australian bowler Glenn McGrath took the first Test match five-wicket haul on the ground in 1997, taking six wickets for the cost of 86 runs (6/86) against South Africa. Later in the same match, South African Allan Donald took a five-wicket haul of his own. [4] The best innings bowling figures on the ground in a Test match were taken by Kyle Abbott of South Africa with figures of 7/29 against Pakistan in 2013. Abbot's team-mate Kagiso Rabada match figures of 13 wickets for 144 runs are the best match figures in a Test match on the ground. [2]

The first One Day International five-wicket haul was taken by Shaun Pollock in 2001, [5] whilst Ireland's Trent Johnston recorded the best ODI bowling figures with 5/14 against Canada during the final of the 2009 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier. [6] In Twenty20 International cricket Pakistan's Umar Gul has taken the only five-wicket haul on the ground, taking 5/6 in 2013, all the wickets taken in only 14 balls. [7] As of March 2020 no five-wicket hauls have been taken in women's international cricket on the ground. [2]
