ABS-CBN was a Philippine commercial broadcast network that served as the flagship property of the ABS-CBN Corporation, a company under the Lopez Holdings Corporation. The network was headquartered at the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Center in Quezon City, that had additional offices and production facilities in 25 major cities including Baguio, Naga, Bacolod, Iloilo, Cebu, Davao, and Bulacan, where ABS-CBN's production and post-production facility in Horizon IT Park is located. ABS-CBN was colloquially referred to as the Kapamilya Network; its brand was originally introduced in 1999 and was officially introduced in 2003 during the celebration of its 50th anniversary, and was used until it was forced by the National Telecommunications Commission to cease and desist from free-to-air broadcasting due to the lack of congressional franchise. ABS-CBN is the largest media company in the Philippines and is the oldest television broadcaster in Southeast Asia. The network is metonymically called as "Ignacia" due to the location of its headquarters ABS-CBN Broadcasting Center along Mother Ignacia Street in Quezon City.

<i>Eat Bulaga!</i> Philippine television variety show

EatBulaga! is a Philippine television noontime variety show broadcast by TV5 and RPTV. Originally aired on RPN from July 30, 1979 to February 17, 1989, it was replaced by Student Canteen. Eat Bulaga! later moved to ABS-CBN from February 18, 1989 to January 27, 1995, replacing Afternoon Delight and was replaced by 'Sang Linggo nAPO Sila and GMA Network from January 28, 1995 to January 5, 2024. Eat Bulaga! then replaced SST: Salo-Salo Together and was replaced by Tahanang Pinakamasaya. It is the longest-running noontime variety program in the Philippines and ranks among television programs with the most episodes in history with over 13,500 episodes aired.

It aired from June 22, 1997 to February 27, 2005, replacing The Sharon Cuneta Show. The show returned on the network's Yes Weekend! from September 11, 2010, to April 7, 2019, replacing Agimat: Ang Mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla and was replaced by Hiwaga ng Kambat. The series was also aired on ABS-CBN's Yes Weekend! primetime block with new episodes and remakes of past episodes. However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines, Wansapanataym returned on air every weekend from March 29 to May 3, 2020, replacing 24/7 and Home Sweetie Home and was replaced by Paano Kita Mapasasalamatan? and Iba 'Yan on Kapamilya Channel's weekend evening slot.

Alvin Elchico is a Filipino field reporter, newscaster, broadcast journalist and television host working for ABS-CBN and DZMM.
