The People's Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada first convocation was initially called the People's Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukrainian SSR twelfth convocation. The first convocation was accepted on May 15, 1990, and dismissed on May 10, 1994. Eleven deputies surrendered their mandate without replacement. Another 25 were replaced during the time of the first convocation.

The Verkhovna Rada, officially the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, is the unicameral parliament of Ukraine.
Petro Mykolayovych Symonenko is a Ukrainian politician and the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine. Symonenko was the party's candidate in the 1999 and 2004, 2010, and until his withdrawal, the 2014 Ukrainian presidential elections. The Central Election Commission of Ukraine prohibited his candidacy for the 2019 Ukrainian presidential election because the statute, name, and symbolism of his party did not comply with the decommunization laws in Ukraine.
Ivan Stepanovych Plyushch was a Ukrainian politician. He thrice served as the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, from 9 July to 23 July 1990 (acting), from 5 December 1991 to 11 May 1994, and from 1 February 2000 to 14 May 2002.
Oleksandr Mykolaiovych Tkachenko was a Ukrainian politician who served as a People's Deputy of Ukraine from 1994 to 2012, variously representing the Peasant Party of Ukraine and the Communist Party of Ukraine. Between 7 July 1998 and 21 January 2000, Tkachenko was the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada. Awarded with the robe of Prince Yaroslav the Wise.
Levko Hryhorovych Lukianenko was a Ukrainian politician, Soviet dissident, and Hero of Ukraine. He was one of the founders of the Ukrainian Helsinki Group in 1976 and was elected a leader of the Ukrainian Helsinki Association in 1988.

Volodymyr Vasylyovych Rybak is a Ukrainian politician. He was the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada from 13 December 2012 to 22 February 2014. Volodymyr Rybak is also the original leader of the predecessor of the Party of Regions, the Party of Regional Revival of Ukraine. He is a Merited Builder of Ukraine (1995).
Iryna Volodymyrivna Herashchenko is a Ukrainian journalist and politician currently serving as a People's Deputy of Ukraine from European Solidarity. She is a Merited Journalist of Ukraine since 2000. Former First Deputy Chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada, also serving as President's Humanitarian Envoy at the Minsk peace talks regarding the war in Donbas.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 7th convocation was a convocation of the legislative branch of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's unicameral parliament. Its composition was based on the results of the 2012 parliamentary election. Half of the seats in the parliament were apportioned between the five winning parties based on the popular vote, while the other half was apportioned between 4 parties and 44 independents between 225 constituencies throughout the country.
