The Medill School of Journalism is the journalism school of Northwestern University. It offers both undergraduate and graduate programs. It frequently ranks as the top school of journalism in the United States. Medill alumni include over 40 Pulitzer Prize laureates, numerous national correspondents for major networks, many well-known reporters, columnists and media executives. Founded in 1921, it is named for publisher and editor Joseph Medill.
Evanston Township High School (ETHS) is a public high school in Evanston, Illinois. The campus is located in a northern suburb of Chicago along the Lake Michigan shore. ETHS was established in 1883 and serves the city of Evanston and a small portion of the neighboring village of Skokie for a total district population of approximately 78,000.

Stephen H. Hagerty is an American entrepreneur, businessman, and politician. He was the 21st mayor of Evanston, Illinois from May 8, 2017, to May 10, 2021. A month after Hagerty retired from office, Evanston was recognized as an All-American City by the National Civic League due to its local reparation's initiative and Evanston Cares Network, both of which occurred during his administration.
