Bandung is the capital city of West Java province of Indonesia. Located on the island of Java, Greater Bandung is the country's second-largest and most populous metropolitan area, with over 11 million inhabitants. Situated 768 meters above sea level, the highest point in the North area with an altitude of 1,050 meters and the lowest in the South is 675 meters above sea level, approximately 140 kilometres southeast of Jakarta, Bandung has cooler year-round temperatures than most other Indonesian cities. The city lies on a river basin surrounded by volcanic mountains that provide a natural defence system, which was the primary reason for the Dutch East Indies government's plan to move the capital from Batavia to Bandung.

RCTI is a West Jakarta-based Indonesian free-to-air television network. It is best known for its soap operas, celebrity bulletins, news, and sports programmes. It was first launched in 1989, originally as a local pay television operator that broadcasts mostly foreign programmes, before switching to free-to-air terrestrial network a year later.

Trans TV is an Indonesian free-to-air television network based in South Jakarta that was launched on December 15, 2001, and is owned by Chairul Tanjung. Programming consists of newscasts, movies, drama series, variety shows, quiz shows, and children's television series. Trans TV was Indonesia's main broadcaster of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, showing most group matches and all of the final matches, which led to the channel topping Indonesian television ratings as of June 19, 2018.

The Salim Group is Indonesia's biggest conglomerate and refers to companies where the Salim family held majority ownership. Its assets include Indofood Sukses Makmur, the world's largest instant noodle producer; Indomobil Group, one of Indonesia's largest car manufacturers; Indomaret, Indonesia's largest convenience store chain; and Bogasari, a large flour-milling operation. The group was founded in October 1972 by Sudono Salim and his junior partner Sutanto Djuhar. The current CEO is Anthoni Salim, a son of Sudono Salim.

Television in Indonesia started in 1962, when the then state-run station TVRI began broadcasting – the third country in Southeast Asia to do so. TVRI held a television monopoly in Indonesia until 1989 when the first commercial station, RCTI began as a local station and was subsequently granted a national license a year later. The Indonesian television is regulated by both Ministry of Communications and Informatics (Kemenkominfo) and Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI).

The station, which is located at an altitude of +709 meters, is also the main station for the Bandung metropolitan area.

Surabaya Pasar Turi Station or Surabaya Pasarturi Station (SBI) is the second largest railway station in Surabaya, East Java. It is located near the Pasar Turi market in Bubutan, Surabaya. It is the main departure point of all train from Surabaya which passes through Pantura to the western cities of Java such as Jakarta and Semarang, but trains south and east line from Surabaya departed from Surabaya Gubeng. Since 2014, the station has upgraded railway signal and railroad switch devices from mechanical to electrical type produced by Len Industri.

The Whoosh is the brand name for high-speed train services on the Jakarta–Bandung high-speed railway operated by Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC). The Whoosh is the first high-speed railway in Southeast Asia, and Southern Hemisphere covering a distance of 142.3 kilometres (88.4 mi) with a top service speed 350 kilometres per hour (220 mph), making Indonesia only the second country with the fastest railway network in the world that operates commercially, on par with China connecting two of Indonesia's First and Third largest cities, Greater Jakarta with over 34 million population and Greater Bandung with population of 11 million, serving a total of 45 million population. It reduces the travel time between the two cities from 3 hours to about 40 minutes.

Started broadcasting in 1996, Hard Rock FM claims itself as first lifestyle radio in Indonesia, especially Jakarta. Despite its name this radio not only broadcast hard rock genre music but jazz, pop, alternative and popular music genre

PM2FGU, on-air name Gen FM or Gen 98.7 FM, is a contemporary hit radio in Jakarta. Gen FM plays around 80% Western Top 40 music and 20% Indonesian Top 40 music.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup</span> 19th edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup

The 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup will be the 19th edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, the biennial international men's youth football tournament contested by the under-17 national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It will be held in Indonesia from 10 November to 2 December 2023. This will be the first time that Indonesia will host a FIFA tournament and the first time that the FIFA U-17 World Cup will be held in Southeast Asia. It will also be the third time a FIFA tournament will be held in the region since the 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship in Malaysia and 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Thailand. It will be the sixth time the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Asia.
