This is a list of radio stations in Malaysia, ordered by location and frequency. Frequency varies in different states.
There are a total of 24 private and 44 government-owned radio stations in Malaysia. Stations owned by the government operate under the Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) group. Other stations such as BBC World Service, China Radio International and Voice of Vietnam are available in Malaysia via AM.

Malaysia does not own any AM stations. All of the AM stations able to be received in Malaysia are from other Asian countries with high power transmitters. Reception is much better at night.

LPD433 is a UHF band in which license free communication devices are allowed to operate in some regions. The frequencies correspond with the ITU region 1 ISM band of 433.050 MHz to 434.790 MHz. The frequencies used are within the 70-centimeter band, which is currently otherwise reserved for government and amateur radio operations in the United States and most nations worldwide.
Citizens band radio is a land mobile radio system, a system allowing short-distance one-to-many bidirectional voice communication among individuals, using two-way radios operating near 27 MHz in the high frequency or shortwave band. Citizens band is distinct from other personal radio service allocations such as FRS, GMRS, MURS, UHF CB and the Amateur Radio Service. In many countries, CB operation does not require a license and may be used for business or personal communications.
China Radio International (CRI) is the state-owned international radio broadcaster of China. It is currently headquartered in Babaoshan, Shijingshan, Beijing. It was founded on December 3, 1941, as Radio Peking. It later adopted the pinyin form Radio Beijing.
Campus radio is a type of radio station that is run by the students of a college, university or other educational institution. Programming may be exclusively created or produced by students, or may include program contributions from the local community in which the radio station is based. Sometimes campus radio stations are operated for the purpose of training professional radio personnel, sometimes with the aim of broadcasting educational programming, while other radio stations exist to provide alternative to commercial broadcasting or government broadcasters.
Aboriginal Voices Radio Network was a Canadian radio network, which primarily broadcast music programming and other content of interest to aboriginal people. As of June 2015, the network operated stations in Toronto, Ontario, Calgary and Edmonton in Alberta, and Vancouver, British Columbia. All of its stations were licensed as rebroadcasters of its flagship station, CKAV-FM in Toronto. The network's administrative office was located in Ohsweken, Ontario, on the Six Nations Indian reserve near Brantford. The stations' music programming consisted mainly of adult contemporary music, along with specialty programs focusing on aboriginal-oriented content.
FM broadcasting is a method of radio broadcasting that uses frequency modulation (FM) of the radio broadcast carrier wave. Invented in 1933 by American engineer Edwin Armstrong, wide-band FM is used worldwide to transmit high-fidelity sound over broadcast radio. FM broadcasting offers higher fidelity—more accurate reproduction of the original program sound—than other broadcasting techniques, such as AM broadcasting. It is also less susceptible to common forms of interference, having less static and popping sounds than are often heard on AM. Therefore, FM is used for most broadcasts of music and general audio. FM radio stations use the very high frequency range of radio frequencies.
Radio Televisyen Malaysia, also known as the Department of Broadcasting, Malaysia is the national public broadcaster of Malaysia, headquartered at Angkasapuri, Kuala Lumpur. Established on 1 April 1946 as Radio Malaya, it is the first and the oldest broadcaster in the country.
CKQB-FM is a radio station licensed to Ottawa, Ontario. Owned by Corus Entertainment, it broadcasts a Top 40/CHR format. CKQB's studios are located at 1504 Merivale Road in Nepean along with sister station CJOT-FM, while its transmitter is located in Camp Fortune, Quebec.
The Voice of Vietnam is the Vietnamese national radio broadcaster. Directly run by the Ministry of Finance alongside the Vietnam Television (VTV) and the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), VOV is tasked with promoting the policies of the Communist Party and the laws of the state.
KPOJ is a commercial radio station in Portland, Oregon. It airs a sports radio format and is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. KPOJ airs two local sports shows on weekdays, Rip City Mornings with Justin Myers from 6 to 9 a.m. and Rip City Drive with Dwight and Chad in afternoon drive time. In middays, KPOJ carries nationally syndicated sports programs: The Rich Eisen Show, The Doug Gottlieb Show and Covino & Rich. The Fox Sports Radio Network is heard nights and weekends. The KPOJ studios are on SW 68th Parkway in Tigard.
Astro Radio is a Malaysian radio network company which operates radio broadcasting services and more since 1996. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad. Astro Radio owns and manages 12 private radio stations which are transmitted through the FM radio spectrum.

Red FM is a defunct Malaysian English language private radio station that used to broadcast across Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore. It was managed by Star Media Radio Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Star Publications (M) Bhd. Red FM began broadcasting on 1 September 2001 and was one of Malaysia's top five English radio stations.
Era is a Malaysian Malay-language radio station operated by Astro Radio. The radio station broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The radio station went on air on 1 August 1998. In the past few years, this station played a wider mixture of music from the 1980s to current-day, but now it plays Malaysian and international hit songs, including Korean songs. Radio stations in Kota Kinabalu and Kuching will be moved back to Kuala Lumpur following Astro Radio closure of operations in Sabah and Sarawak since 30 September 2023. In 2015, as according to Nielsen RAM Survey Wave #1, Era FM maintained its position as Malaysia's leading Malay-language station with over 4.8 million listeners.
The Community Access Media Alliance (CAMA), also known as the Access Radio Network, is a group of twelve New Zealand community radio media organisations. The stations were established between 1981 and 2010 and have received government funding since 1989 to broadcast community programming and provide facilities, training and on-air time for individuals and community groups to produce programming.
CJTM, branded as Met Radio, is a low-powered AM campus and community radio station, owned and operated by Radio Ryerson Inc. at Toronto Metropolitan University, which was granted a broadcast license by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission on December 11, 2014.
kupikupifm is a radio station from Sabah, Malaysia. The station features topics ranging from customs and traditions to social-economic development, global and social trends, health and nutrition as well as agriculture and enables local entertainers to showcase their talents with the station playing 80% Sabahan songs. It can also be heard from Kuala Penyu to Kota Belud and plans to expand transmission to other parts of Sabah in future.
My is a Malaysian-Chinese language radio station managed by Astro Radio, a subsidiary of Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad. In 2015, as according to Nielsen RAM Survey Wave #1, My FM maintained its position as Malaysia's leading Chinese-language station with over 2.0 million listeners, it was challenged by 988 which is currently the leading Chinese radio station there.
