Alisha Chinai is an Indian pop singer known for her Indi-pop albums as well as playback singing in Hindi cinema. She began her singing career with the album Jadoo in 1985, and by the 1990s she had become known as the 'Queen of Indipop'. Her best known songs were with producers Anu Malik and Biddu during the 1990s. Her best known song is Made in India.

Binaca Geetmala, and its subsequent incarnations named after Cibaca—Cibaca Sangeetmala, Cibaca Geetmala, and Colgate Cibaca Sangeetmala—ran from 1954 to 1994 on Radio Ceylon and then on Vividh Bharati. They also broadcast annual year-end lists from 1954 to 1993.

The film's director Ashim Ahluwalia wanted to make a tribute to composer Bappi Lahiri, so he worked with Norwegian DJ Olefonken to remix the song. It originally composed by Bappi Lahiri and sung by Alisha Chinai in the film Dance Dance. DJ Olefonken recreated it for 2017 film Daddy. But he retained the original singers' voice.

He went to Mumbai and came back in 2003 when Bollywood music composer Vishal Bharadwaj promised him in an email that "One day, we will work together," and after this he sat back in Chandigarh and waited for a response Vishal Bharadwaj, before going to Mumbai he was writing poetry or songs for the theatre groups in Chandigarh for their plays. Later, Bharadwaj asked him to write three songs for his film Asma 2004 and since then He has done 50 songs for almost 15 movies in last since he came back from Mumbai.
