Melvins are an American rock band formed in 1983 in Montesano,Washington. Their early work was key to the development of both grunge and sludge metal. Primarily a trio,they have also performed as a quartet,with either two drummers or two bassists. Since 1984,vocalist and guitarist Buzz Osborne and drummer Dale Crover have been constant members.
Fantômas is an American heavy metal supergroup formed in 1998 in California. It features vocalist Mike Patton,drummer Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer),guitarist Buzz Osborne (Melvins) and bassist Trevor Dunn. The band is named after Fantômas,a supervillain featured in a series of crime novels popular in France before World War I and in film,most notably in the '60s French movie series.
Dale Crover is an American rock musician. Crover is best known as the drummer for Melvins and has also been the drummer for Men of Porn,Shrinebuilder,Crystal Fairy and,for a brief time,Nirvana. He is also guitarist and vocalist for Altamont. He has toured with Fantômas,Off!,and Redd Kross. In 2016,Rolling Stone listed him as the 69th greatest drummer of all time.
Gluey Porch Treatments is the debut album by American rock band Melvins,released in 1987 through Alchemy Records. The original release was vinyl only. The album was later released on cassette tape with the Six Songs EP through Boner Records and appears as bonus material on the CD version of Ozma. Tracks 18–29 can only be found on the 1999 Ipecac Recordings re-release;these songs are taken from a boombox demo.

Colossus of Destiny is a live album by Melvins,released in 2001 through Ipecac Recordings. It was recorded live Friday,December 13,1998,at Club Mangler,Cupertino,California. It is nearly an hour of synthesizer and sample experimentation ending in a performance of the song "Eye Flys". It was reported that members of the audience were lying on the ground,covering their ears during this performance. The album was originally intended to be the third part of the band's 1999 album trilogy,until they came up with the guest star idea for The Crybaby.

Everybody Loves Sausages is an album of cover songs by the Melvins,released on April 30,2013. In similar fashion to The Crybaby it features guests on most of the tracks and even features the Melvins Lite on three tracks.
Hold It In is the 20th studio album by the Melvins,released on October 14,2014. The lineup for this album features Melvins stalwarts Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover joined by Butthole Surfers members Paul Leary and Jeff Pinkus.
Tarantula Heart is the 27th studio album by the American rock band the Melvins,released on April 19,2024 via Ipecac Recordings. The first session took place in May of 2022 with drummer / synthesist Roy Mayorga,and the second happened in January 2023 with guitarist Gary Chester.
