Mbuji-Mayi serves as the capital city of Kasai-Oriental Province in the south-central Democratic Republic of Congo. It offers an extensive network of domestic scheduled passenger flights, as well as cargo flights. Due to safety and security concerns, CAA has been included in the list of air carriers banned in the European Union, along with many other airlines from the Congo.

Lignes Aériennes Congolaises (LAC) was the flag carrier of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It was established in 1997 to succeed the folded Air Zaire. Halting operations in 1999, it was reactivated for a short period in 2002, only to cease operations for good in 2003.

Kinshasa Airways

Kinshasa Airways was a cargo airline based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. It was established in 2002 by Willy Mubela Kumwimba and operated cargo services from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Middle East. As of June 2010, Kinshasa Airways was on the List of air carriers banned in the EU, it ended operations the same year.

Malift Air

Malift Air was an airline based in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. It operated domestic passenger and cargo services from 1995 until 2009. Its main base was N'Dolo Airport, Kinshasa.

Equaflight is an airline based in Pointe-Noire, Republic of the Congo, operating scheduled and chartered flights out of its base at Pointe Noire Airport. The company was founded in 1998. Along with all airlines registered in the Republic of the Congo, Equaflight is banned from entering the European Union since 2009.

Jonas Mukamba Kadiata Nzemba is a politician from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and former CEO of the state-run diamond company. Between August 1965 and October 1968 he was governor in turn of South Kasai, Kasaï-Oriental, Équateur and Orientale Province. He was again governor of Équateur Province between 27 August 1980 and 19 March 1983.

Lignes Aériennes Congolaises, also known by its acronym LAC, was an airline of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with its head office in Kinshasa, and its central administration on the property of N'djili Airport in Kinshasa. The carrier has the latter airport as the base of its flight operations. It was liquidated in 2013.

FlyCongo was an airline based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It was formed due to the suspension of Hewa Bora Airways after a series of fatal accidents. The new airline aimed to show a huge improvement in air safety in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. After only 6 months in operation the company merged with Compagnie Africaine d'Aviation (CAA) in October, 2012. The company slogan was Like Never Before!

Congo Airways S.A. is the state-owned flag carrier airline of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). With a paid-up capital of US$90 million, it started operations on 20 October 2015, using two Airbus A320 aircraft acquired from Alitalia.
