Bravo Air Congo was an airline based in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo operating domestic and regional passenger services. Its main base was N'djili Airport. [1]

History

Bravo Airlines was established in 2004 in Madrid, as a scheduled international and domestic passenger airline, registered in Spain. In 2006, wishing to expand their operations in the African market, Bravo Airlines became an airline group, and joined with several Congolese private investors, to create a new airline, named Bravo Air Congo.[ citation needed ] The new airline is registered in the Democratic Republic of Congo and began operations on 11 September 2006. [1]

Destinations

Bravo Air Congo operated services to eight domestic destinations, including Gemena, Kalemie, Isiro and Lubumbashi, and eight cities in West Africa, as well as Johannesburg and Nairobi. Connections with its Spanish sister company, Bravo Airlines, link Brazzaville and Kinshasa with Brussels, Paris and Madrid. [1]

Lignes Aériennes Congolaises (LAC) was the flag carrier of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It was established in 1997 to succeed the folded Air Zaïre. Halting operations in 1999, it was reactivated for a short period in 2002, only to fold operations permanently in 2003.

Air Zaïre was the national airline of Zaire. Its head office was located on the grounds of N'djili Airport in Kinshasa.

Gabon Airlines is the name of two incarnations of Gabonese airline, headquartered in Libreville. The first incarnation of Gabon Airlines which was operated from 2007 to 2012, concentrating on African and European flight services out of Libreville International Airport. In April 2015, the second incarnation of Gabon Airlines is due to redeveloped as a flag carrier, replacing the original Air Gabon. As of September 2024, however, the new airline has yet to commence operations.

Agence et Messageries Aérienne du Zaïre (AMAZ), formerly Agence et Messageries Aérienne du Congo (AMAC), was a Zairean airline. It had its headquarters at Aérodrome de N'Dolo in Kinshasa. The carrier was formed in the 1960s to take over some services flown by Cogeair, and provided feeder services to Air Zaïre. It ceased operations in the late 1970s.

Congo Airways S.A. is the state-owned flag carrier airline of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). With a paid-up capital of US$90 million, it started operations on 20 October 2015.
