Description

Madhuca lancifolia grows up to 14 metres (50 ft) tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 15 cm (6 in). The bark is brown. Inflorescences bear up to 10 flowers. [3]

Distribution and habitat

Madhuca lancifolia is endemic to Borneo. Its habitat is lowland mixed dipterocarp forest. [3]

Conservation

Madhuca lancifolia has been assessed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. The species is threatened by logging and conversion of land for palm oil plantations. [1]
