In taxonomy, Marinovum is a genus of the Rhodobacteraceae. [1] Up to now there is only one species of this genus known (Marinovum algicola). [2]

In term of its application, Roseobacter clade produces bioactive compounds, has been used widely in aquaculture and quorum sensing.
