Market Place is a public square in the English market town of Garstang, Lancashire. Dating to the Middle Ages, it has historically been a site of weekly markets. It is bounded by High Street to the west and a thoroughfare named Market Place to the east. The two roads split at the town's market cross, located at the northern end of Market Place. It was erected in 1887 to mark Queen Victoria's diamond jubilee. [1]
The Royal Oak Hotel, built in the early 19th century, [2] occupies the southwestern side of Market Place. It is a Grade II listed building. [3]

The North West Counties Football League is a football league in the North West of England. Since 2019–20, the league has covered the Isle of Man, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cumbria, northern Staffordshire, northern Shropshire, the far west of West Yorkshire, and the High Peak area of Derbyshire. In the past, the league has also hosted clubs from North Wales such as Caernarfon Town, Colwyn Bay, and Rhyl. From season 2018–19 the league increased to three divisions: the Premier Division, at level nine in the English football league system, and two geographically separate Division Ones, North and South, at level ten. The Garstang and Knot-End Railway [sic] was a railway line, between Garstang and Pilling, across the Fylde of Lancashire, England. It was built by local agricultural interests to develop unproductive land. It had been intended to continue to Knott End but ran out of money. It eventually opened in 1870. In 1898 the Knott End Railway (KER) was authorised by the Knott End Railway Act 1898 to continue to Knott End; it opened in 1908. The two companies were associated and the KER acquired the earlier company. The KER was still desperately short of money, and local people who were owed money bought rolling stock to keep the company going.
Garstang Town railway station served the market town of Garstang in Lancashire, England. It opened in 1870. The station closed for passengers in 1930 and for freight in 1965.

All the listed buildings are designated at Grade II, the lowest of the three grades, which is applied to "buildings of national importance and special interest". The parish includes the market town of Garstang, and all the listed buildings are in the town. These include a medieval cross base, a former slaughterhouse, houses and shops, a church with associated structures, the former town hall, a former grammar school, public houses, a milestone, and a boundary stone. The Lancaster Canal passes through the parish, and two bridges crossing it are listed.
