Jhr. Maurits von Martels (born 1960) is a Dutch politician and former MP for the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA). [1]

Von Martels is a dairy farmer; every Sunday morning he milks his cows in Dalfsen. He is member of the family Von Martels which is of German origin and was incorporated into the Dutch nobility in 1964, thereby giving him the noble predicate "jonkheer". Von Martels lives at house Hessum in Dalfsen, is married and has three sons.

Von Martels was a member of the Dalfsen city council on behalf of the CDA between 2006 and 2010. He was an alderman of this municipality between 2010 and 2017. From 2017 to 2021, Von Martels was Member of the Netherlands House of Representatives.

In the House of Representatives, Von Martel was spokesperson in the following areas: Infrastructure and water management, greenhouse horticulture, crop protection, biotechnology, animal welfare (not production animals), animal testing, the environment (not agriculture-related), external safety and biofuels.
