Maurus vogelii or Vogel's blue is a species of butterfly in the family Lycaenidae, found in Morocco, North Africa. It is the sole representative of the monotypic genus Maurus. [1] [2] [3]

He was one of the most prominent teachers and writers of the Carolingian age, and was called "Praeceptor Germaniae", or "the teacher of Germany".
