McBee is a town in Chesterfield County, South Carolina, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 867. McBee is approximately 36 miles (58 km) northwest of Florence and 62 miles (100 km) northeast of Columbia.

It is colloquially known by people from the city as The Clock Tower. It is a U.S. National Historic Landmark. Main Street Station serves as a secondary train station for Richmond providing limited Amtrak service directly to downtown Richmond. Several Amtrak trains serving the Richmond metropolitan area only stop at the area's primary rail station, Staples Mill Road which is located five miles to the north in Henrico County.

Camden station, also known as the Seaboard Air Line Railroad Depot, is a train station in Camden, South Carolina. It serves Amtrak, the national passenger rail service. The station was built by the Seaboard Air Line Railroad in 1937. It is located on 1100 West DeKalb Street, although some sources give the address as being at 1060 West DeKalb Street. Either way, it was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. The station is in disrepair, and a renovation project is scheduled to commence in August 2014. The station renovations were completed in early 2016.

The Raleigh and Gaston Railroad was a Raleigh, North Carolina, based railroad opened in April 1840 between Raleigh and the town of Gaston, North Carolina, on the Roanoke River. It was North Carolina's second railroad. The length was 100 miles (160 km) and built with 4 ft 8 in gauge. Part of the Raleigh and Gaston's tracks remains in service today as part of CSX's S Line as the Norlina Subdivision of CSX's Florence Division.
The Apex Union Depot is a historic railroad station located on Salem Street in downtown Apex, North Carolina and is the centerpiece of the Apex Historic District. Constructed in 1914 by the Seaboard Air Line Railroad, the building shared service with the Durham and Southern Railway, but now houses the Apex Visitor's Center, Apex Chamber of Commerce, and meeting rooms rented out for special events. A 37-foot Louisville and Nashville Railroad caboose is located beside the building. In December 1998 the Apex Union Depot was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The design of the waiting room area exemplifies the prevailing early-20th century practice of separate accommodations for blacks and whites.

It was built in 1900 by the Seaboard Air Line Railroad, and is a 1 1/2-story frame building with a simple rectangular plan. It has a moderately pitched gable roof with two small, red brick chimneys at its peak. It had served as a flag stop for the Seaboard Air Line's Palmland,
Union Station, also known as Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and Southern Railway Station, is a historic train station located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was built in 1902, and is a brick and stone, eclectic Jacobethan Revival / Tudor Revival building. It features stepped gables and towering chimneys. It was designed by architect Frank Pierce Milburn for the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and Southern Railway. In contrast to the custom of 'union station' denoting the single station for several railroads, the Seaboard Air Line Railroad had its own station one-half mile away. The formerly Seaboard Silver Star still operates through another station in Columbia.

The district encompasses 40 contributing buildings in a commercial, warehouse, and light industrial section of Columbia. They date from about 1846 to the 1930s. Notable buildings include the W. H. Franklinton Depot, also known as the Raleigh and Gaston Railroad Passenger Depot and Franklinton Woman's Club Clubhouse, is a historic train station located at 201 East Mason Street in Franklinton, Franklin County, North Carolina. It was built by the Raleigh and Gaston Railroad in 1886, and is a one-story, rectangular frame building with Italianate, Queen Anne, and Gothic Revival style design elements. The main section measures 51 feet by 16 feet, with an attached 10 feet by 12 feet baggage room. The main section has a steeply pitched gable roof and baggage room a low-pitched hip roof. It served the Seaboard Air Line's Palmland as well as local service between Norlina and Hamlet.
