Melissa Galloway (born 4 March 1993) is a New Zealand dressage rider. She represented New Zealand at the 2022 FEI World Championships in Herning, finishing 33rd. [1] Galloway is the highest ranked dressage rider from New Zealand and won several Grand Prix Titles at the national championships. [2] [3] In 2022 she moved temporarily to The Netherlands to train with Danish Olympian Anne van Olst. [4]

In 2024 she represented New Zealand at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, setting a record for New Zealand by achieving a result of 68.913% in the Grand Prix. [5]

Theodora Elisabeth Gerarda "Anky" van Grunsven is a Dutch dressage champion who is the only rider to record three successive Olympic wins in the same event. Along with her Olympic successes, she has won numerous medals at the World Equestrian Games (WEG), and is the only rider to have competed at every WEG since they began in 1990. Edward Gal is a Dutch dressage rider. He and the stallion Totilas, were triple gold medalists at the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games, becoming the first horse-rider partnership ever to sweep the three available dressage gold medals at a single FEI World Games. Going into the 2010 Games, they had amassed multiple world-record scores in international competition, leading one American journalist to call them "rock stars in the horse world". After the World Equestrian Games, Totilas was sold to German trainer Paul Schockemöhle. Gal continues to be successful training and competing dressage horses at the international level. Despite the success, he has been criticised to be harsh trainer who creates stressed and fearful horses.

Totilas, also known from 2006 to 2011 as Moorlands Totilas, and nicknamed "Toto", was a Dutch Warmblood stallion standing 17.1 hands high who was considered to be one of the most outstanding competitive dressage horses in the world, the first horse to score above 90 in dressage competition, and the former holder of the world record for the highest dressage score in Grand Prix Freestyle Dressage.

Gestion Bonfire, or Bonfire for short, was an Oldenburg gelding that competed in dressage with Dutch rider Anky van Grunsven. Between 1991 and 2000, the pair competed in multiple national and international championships, including three Olympic Games and two World Equestrian Games. They won one gold medal and four silver medals at the Olympics and one gold and three silvers at the World Equestrian Games. Although known for having a hot temperament, Bonfire mellowed as he aged, becoming one of Van Grunsven's best horses – until she found his replacement, Salinero, she did not think she would ever find a horse to match Bonfire's talent. A statue of Bonfire stands in Van Grunsven's home town of Erp.

Charlotte Susan Jane Dujardin is a British dressage rider, equestrian, and writer. A multiple World and Olympic champion, Dujardin has been described as the dominant dressage rider of her era. She held the complete set of available individual elite dressage titles at one point: the individual Olympic freestyle, World freestyle and Grand Prix Special, World Cup individual dressage and European freestyle, and Grand Prix Special titles. Dujardin was the first rider to hold this complete set of titles at the same time.

Yessin Rahmouni is an Olympic dressage rider. Born in the Netherlands, he represents Morocco internationally. He competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where he finished 49th in the individual competition, making him the first dressage rider at the Olympics from the African continent. He also represented Morocco at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, finishing 44th in the individual competition.

Morgan Barbançon Mestre is a French and Spanish Olympic dressage rider. Representing Spain, she competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London where she finished 7th in team competition and 23rd in the individual competition.

Kelly Layne is an Australian Dressage rider and trainer. She planned on qualifying to represent her country at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. However, Layne was unable to compete in the final qualifying event due to an injury suffered by her horse, Udon P, forcing her to withdraw. While born in Australia, Layne is currently based in Wellington, Florida. Layne also helped found her own riding team, "Dream Team Dressage".

Charlotte Fry is an Olympic, European Championships and World Championships medal-winning British dressage rider. As of August 2024, Fry has a total of 90 victories and is currently third in the FEI World Dressage Ranking.

The individual dressage at the 2009 FEI European Jumping and Dressage Championships in Windsor, Great Britain was held at Windsor Castle from 25 to 30 August.

Simone Pearce is an Australian equestrian athlete. She competed at several World Championships for Young Dressage Horses and holds currently the Australian dressage records in the Grand Prix, Grand Prix Special and Grand Prix Freestyle. Pearce represented Australia at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, where she finished 36th in the individual competition with Destano. She also represented the Australian team at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, finishing 10th with the Australian team.

Dinja van Liere is a Dutch dressage rider. She competed at the European Dressage Championships in Hagen 2021 and was the traveling reserve for the Dutch team at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Alisa Glinka is a Moldovan equestrian athlete and actress. She competed at the FEI World Cup Finals in Leipzig in 2022 as first Moldovan rider in history. Glinka also represented Moldova at the 2021 European Dressage Championships in Hagen, Germany. In 2017 Glinka starred in the Russian drama film Nearest and Dearest (Близкие) in which she played the role of Efim's lover.

Glamourdale is a stallion ridden by the Dutch-Based, British equestrian Charlotte Fry in the sport of dressage. He is the 2022 world champion in the Grand Prix Special and Grand Prix Freestyle.

Frederic Wandres is a German dressage rider. He competed at the 2022 FEI World Championships in Herning, where he won a Bronze team medal with the German team. Wandres competed at several World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in which he won a gold medal in 2019. He was also on the longlist for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo for the German team.

Shruti Vora is an Indian equestrienne. She represented India at the 2022 FEI World Championships held at Herning, Denmark. Vora and Anush Agarwalla were the first Indians to compete in an individual dressage event at the Dressage World Championships, where Vora scored 64.53% astride 16-year Indian-bred Denightron. Vora qualified for the World Championship at Hagen in June 2022 and represented India at the 2014 Asian Games at Incheon.

Andrina Suter is a Swiss dressage rider. She was very successful a young rider and competed over six European Championships in the Juniors, Young Riders and Under 25 divisions. Suter also represented Switzerland at two World Breeding Championships in 2021 and 2022. Her best result was a fourth place in the six-years old final in 2021.

Kevin Van Ham is a Paralympic equestrian of Belgium, competing in Test Grade V.
