Erika Fairweather (born 31 December 2003) is a New Zealand swimmer [1] who competed at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships and the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Fairweather was born in Dunedin, She is of mixed European and Māori descent, affiliating with Ngāi Tahu iwi. [2] She attended Kavanagh College and was head girl in 2021. [3]

In 2018 she competed at both the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics and the 2018 Junior Pan Pacific Games. [4] In August 2019, Fairweather won the gold medal in the 200 metres freestyle at the World Junior Swimming Championships in Budapest, Hungary, breaking her own New Zealand age-group record with a time of 1:57.96. She finished fourth in the final of the 400 metres, again breaking her own national age-group record with a time of 4:08.78. [5]

At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Fairweather finished second in her heat of the 400 metres freestyle, breaking the New Zealand record (set by Lauren Boyle in 2012), with a time of 4:02.28. [6]

At the 2023 World Aquatics Championships she finished third in the 400m freestyle in the 'race of the century', breaking her New Zealand record with a time of 3:59.59. [7]

Penelope Oleksiak is a Canadian competitive swimmer. She was the first athlete born in the 2000s to claim an Olympic gold medal in an individual event. Ariarne Elizabeth Titmus is an Australian swimmer. In 2019 and 2020, she competed representing the Cali Condors in the International Swimming League.

Freya Ann Alexandra Anderson is a British swimmer, known primarily for her achievements as a freestyle sprinter, especially as a relay swimmer for Great Britain. Anderson achieved nine relay gold medals at three editions of the European Championships, including 5 golds in a single meet at the 2020 European Championships in Budapest, as well as two bronze medals at the Commonwealth Games and a bronze at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships. She has won 8 World and European championships gold medals, competed at 2 Olympic finals, broken most of the Israeli national records for women and mixed relays, and is considered to be Israel's greatest swimmer of all time. In February 2024, Gorbenko won a silver medal at the Doha World Championships in the women's 400 meters individual medley. Gorbenko is representing Israel at the 2024 Summer Olympics in swimming in the 100m backstroke, 200m backstroke, 100m breaststroke, 200m individual medley, 400m individual medley, 4x200m freestyle relay, and mixed 4x100m medley relay on July 28-30 and August 1-3, 2024, in Nanterre, a western suburb of Paris.

Zac Reid is a New Zealand swimmer. He competed in the men's 400 metre freestyle at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships, and the 2020 Summer Olympics. At the games, Reid won his heat in the Men's 800m free, breaking his own New Zealand record in the process and finishing 18th out of 34. He also competed in the 400m free, where he placed 23 out of 36.

Eve Thomas is a New Zealand swimmer. She competed for New Zealand in the women's 800 metre freestyle at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships. Thomas is the daughter of British swimmer Sarah Hardcastle.

Sasha Gatt is a Maltese swimmer. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Women's 400 m freestyle, and Women's 1500 m freestyle. She also competed in the women's 1500 metre freestyle event at the 2020 European Aquatics Championships, in Budapest, Hungary.

Summer Ann McIntosh is a Canadian competitive swimmer. She is a three-time Olympic champion, four-time World Aquatics champion, and two-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist. Noted for her strength in medley and butterfly events, she is the current world record holder in the 400 metre individual medley, and also holds the Olympic and textile records in the 200 metre butterfly event, and the Olympic record in the 200 metre individual medley.

Lani Pallister is an Australian competitive swimmer. She is a world record holder in two sports, with a world record in swimming, the short course 4×200-metre freestyle relay, and world records in life saving for the youth age group in the 100-metre rescue medley and 200-metre super lifesaver. She holds the Oceanian, Commonwealth, and Australian records in the short course 1500-metre freestyle and the Australian record in the short course 800-metre freestyle. She is the first female World Short Course champion in the 1500-metre freestyle, winning the inaugural event for women at the 2022 edition. Over the course of the 2022 World Short Course Championships, she won the gold medal in each of the four events she contested.
