Mesgar (Persian : مسگر‎, also Romanized as Bāsh Qeshlāq and Misjad)^[1] is a village in Shivanat Rural District, Afshar District, Khodabandeh County, Zanjan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 404, in 92 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Shivanat Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Afshar District, Khodabandeh County, Zanjan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 8,963, in 1,919 families. The rural district has 29 villages.

Afshar District is a district (bakhsh) in Khodabandeh County, Zanjan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 16,304, in 3,545 families. The District has one city: Garmab. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Qeshlaqat-e Afshar Rural District and Shivanat Rural District.
