Metinee Washington Kingpayome (Thai : เมทินี วอชิงตัน กิ่งโพยม, RTGS: Methini Wochingtan Kingphayom, born 1972), later Metinee Kingpayome Sharples, [1] also known as Lukkade (Thai : ลูกเกด, RTGS: Lukket) is a Thai actress, model, tv host, producer and beauty pageant titleholder who represented Thailand at Miss World 1992 [2] and Miss World Asia & Oceania 1992.
The daughter of Thai father and Thai mother, Kingpayom was born in Maryland and raised in Queens, New York City. She has three younger brothers.[ citation needed ]
She won the Miss Thailand World title before she represented Thailand at the Miss World 1992 pageant in South Africa. There, she was crowned Continental Queen of Asia & Oceania. [1]
She has since worked as a model, actress and TV presenter. She has been featured on the covers of Elle Thailand and Vogue Thailand . [3] [4] The Bangkok Post described her as: "At the forefront of the women's liberation movement in the Thai fashion industry," [5]
She was one of Channel V 's first VJ presenters; and was nominated TV Gold Award for Best Actress for Manya Ritsaya (1998). She subsequently won Golden Doll Award (Phra Surasawadi Royal Award) for Best Actress for her debut movie role in Box (1998). [5] [6]
She is also a mentor for The Face Thailand (season 1-4), The Face Men Thailand (season 1-2). [7] [8]
She established MUSE by METINEE with her brother Mark Kingpayom to teach students personality empowerment and growth-mindset development through catwalk and beauty queen techniques. [9] The weekend course attracts students from across Thailand ages 4 and up, with some senior students in their fifties, and offered an adapted curriculum as an after-school activity at Astra Academy International School in Bangkok.

Kathaleeya McIntosh is a Thai actress and television presenter, who was named as Princess of the entertainment industry. She was the lead actress in many Thai lakorns in the 1990s-2000s including Wanjai Thailand, Khwamsongcham Mai Hua Jai Derm, and Yak Yud Tawan Wai Thi Plai Fa. Nonthawan “Maeya” Chanvanathorn is a Thai actress, tv host, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Thailand World 2014 and represented Thailand at Miss World 2014 placed top 11. Nonthawan's selection as Miss Thailand World was unusual in that she had a darker complexion than most contestants. This sparked discussion regarding Thai society's perceptions of skin colour and beauty. In August 2014, Maeya helped to raise awareness of the disease ALS by participating in the Ice Bucket Challenge.
The Face Thailand season 2 began audition on 2 August 2015 at Royal Paragon Hall in Siam Paragon in Bangkok. Lukkade Metinee was reprised their roles as coaches again. Bee Namthip and Cris Horwang was the new coach in this season. Khun Chanon was a host replaced Utt Uttsada and Janie Tienphosuwan was a special coach in this season. The show was airing every Saturday 5:25 p.m. to 7:15 p.m..The socond season premiered on 17 October 2015 and ended on 9 January 2016.
The Face Thailand season 1 premiered on 4 October 2014 and ended on 10 January 2015. Lukkade Metinee, Ploy Chermarn and Ying Ratha served as model coaches and Utt Asda served as a host for the first season.
The Face Thailand Season 3 began audition on 14 August 2016 at shopping mall Siam Paragon in Bangkok. 3 September 2016 Lukkade Metinee and Bee Namthip was reprised their roles as coaches again and Marsha Vadhanapanich was the new coach in this season, but quit in episode 8 and was replaced by Cris Horwang. Khun Chanon was still a host in season 3. 13 September 2016 had announced the launch and presented fifty contestants from the audition. The season premiered on 4 February 2017
The Face Men Thailand is an international Thai reality television modeling competition for males. The series air on Channel 3 since 2017 in Thailand.
The Face Men Thailand Season 1 began audition on 30 April 2017 at Muangthai GMM Live House at CentralWorld, Bangkok. Kantana Group and Channel 3 held a press conference on 29 June 2017, at Quartier Water Garden in The EmQuartier, Bangkok. Lukkade Metinee, Moo Asava and Peach Pachara served as model coaches and Sabina Meisinger the winner of The Face Thailand Season 1 served as a host for the first season. The season premiered on 29 July 2017. Contestants will live together in the residence called Artemis Elite and training every week by special guests, such as Personality & Charisma, Performing Skills, Health & Fitness. This reality program will exclusive on air only on LINE TV.
Maria Lynn Ehren, known professionally as Maria Poonlertlarp is a Thai actress, model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe Thailand 2017. She represented Thailand at Miss Universe 2017, where she reached the top five.
The second season of Drag Race Thailand had a casting announcement on 4 March 2018. A casting commercial was shown on 13 September 2018, and stated any genders were allowed to apply, as well as non-Thai citizens. Art Arya and Pangina Heals remained as main judges for the season, and the show aired again on the Kantana Group.
Nicolene Pichapa Bunchu, known professionally as Nicolene Limsnukan, is a Thai-American model and beauty pageant titleholder, who was crowned Miss Thailand World 2018. She represented Thailand at the Miss World 2018 pageant and was crowned 1st Runner-Up and Continental Queen of Asia. In July 2022, Nicolene was announced as one of the top 30 finalist for Miss Universe Thailand 2022 and finished as 1st runner-up, but finally declined a contract of the title.
The Face Men Thailand Season 2 began audition on 9 June 2018 in Yangon, Myanmar and 11 August 2018 at Kantana studio, Bangkok, Thailand. Lukkade Metinee returned as Master Mentor, the very first new role for the show. Moo Asava was reprised his roles as mentor again. Sonia Couling, one of The Face Thailand All Stars's mentor, and Toni Rakkaen were the new mentors in this season. Antoine Pinto, a Muay Thai Kickboxer, served as host. The season premiered on 7 October 2018.
Amanda Charlene Obdam is a Thai-Canadian actress, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2020. She represented Thailand at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant in Hollywood, Florida where she finished as a Top 10 semifinalist.
Arayha Suparurk, more commonly known as Coco, is a Thai-Austrian model and beauty pageant titleholder, who was crowned Miss Grand Thailand 2019.
Miss Grand Thailand is an annual Thai beauty pageant that began in 2013 to select a representative for Miss Grand International. The pageant has been owned by Nawat Itsaragrisil since its inception and was originally broadcast on Channel 7 from 2013 – 2019.
