The 1914 Minnesota lieutenant gubernatorial election took place on November 3, 1914. Incumbent Lieutenant Governor J. A. A. Burnquist of the Republican Party of Minnesota defeated Minnesota Democratic Party challenger Charles M. Andrist, Socialist Party of Minnesota candidate Andrew Hanson, and Prohibition Party candidate A. W. Piper.

The incumbent is the current holder of an office. This term is usually used in reference to elections, in which races can often be defined as being between an incumbent and non-incumbent(s). For example, in the 2017 Hungarian presidential election, János Áder was the incumbent, because he had been the president in the term before the term for which the election sought to determine the president. Joseph A. A. Burnquist American politician

Joseph Alfred Arner Burnquist was an American Republican politician. He served in the Minnesota State Legislature from 1909 to 1911, was elected the 20th Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota in 1912, and then served as the 19th Governor of Minnesota from December 30, 1915 to January 5, 1921. He became governor after the death of Governor Winfield Scott Hammond.

The Republican Party of Minnesota is a conservative political party in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It is affiliated with the United States Republican Party.
