Miss Europe 1931 is the fourth annual Miss Europe live in Paris and the third under French journalist Maurice de Waleffe. 16 European girls in Europe compete the third annual pageant. Miss France won Miss Europe 1931 named Jeanne Juilla. [1] [2]

The Miss France is a French national beauty pageant, held annually in December. The competition was first held in 1920, and has been organized continuously since 1947. The trademark for the pageant is owned by the company Miss France SAS, and is a subsidiary of Endemol Shine France. The competition is aired on TF1.

Miss Europe is a beauty pageant for women from all over Europe. It was established in February 1927 by Fanamet, the European distributor of Paramount, as a one-off event where the winner was to star in a film directed by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau. After the initial twelve-person jury couldn't decide between 10 contestants, a runoff election was held where Murnau chose the winner. Murnau ended up choosing Štefica Vidačić of Yugoslavia as the winner and the first ever Miss Europe. Miss Europe was later re-established in December 1928 by French journalist Maurice de Waleffe (1874–1946), who also created, in 1920, what by 1927 had become the Miss France pageant. Miss Europe, under de Waleffe, was first held at the Paris Opera with participants from 18 countries. The first contest under de Waleffe did not occur until February 1929.

Miss Europe 1930 was the third annual Miss Europe competition and second under French journalist Maurice de Waleffe. Miss Greece won and 19 girls from Europe competed in the pageant. Belgium participated for the first time and one candidacy, that of Switzerland, was withdrawn. Czechoslovakia and Turkey returned to the pageant, they haven't competed since 1927.

Miss Europe 1936 was the ninth annual Miss Europe pageant and the eighth edition under French journalist Maurice de Waleffe. New delegates from Syria-Lebanon, Morocco, Caucasus region, Sweden and Tunisia. Withdraws from Czechoslovakia, Danube, Denmark, Rhenanie & Tunis.

Miss Europe 1937 was the tenth annual Miss Europe pageant and the ninth under French journalist Maurice de Waleffe. With withdraws from most of the countries maybe due to the beginning of World War II.

Miss Europe 1948 was the 12th annual Miss Europe. The Miss Europe pageant was cancelled for 9 years due to the onset of World War II. The pageant came back with new sponsors and with only 12 entrants. The new sponsors are Mr. Roger Zeigler and Claude Berr both of whom later created the Mondial Events Organization which owned the pageant until after Miss Europe 2002 when Zeigler and the Mondial Events Org. sold the pageant to Endemol France. This is the 1st edition under Mondial Events. No new contestants competed but some returning countries came back.

Miss Aquitaine is a French beauty pageant which selects a representative for the Miss France national competition from the region of Aquitaine. Women representing the region under various different titles have competed at Miss France since 1920, although the Miss Aquitaine title was not used regularly until 1985.

Miss Europe 1962 was the 25th edition of the Miss Europe pageant and the 14th edition under the Mondial Events Organization. It was held at the Casino du Liban in Beirut, Lebanon on 2 June 1962. Maruja García Nicoláu of Spain, was crowned Miss Europe 1962, by outgoing titleholder Ingrun Helgard Möckel of Germany.

Jeanne Marie Justine Juilla was a French model and actress, who became the seventh Miss France and the first Frenchwoman to earn the Miss Europe title.

Miss Europe 1958 was the 21st edition of the Miss Europe pageant and the tenth edition under the Mondial Events Organization. It was held in Istanbul, Turkey on 28 June 1958. Johanna "Hanni" Ehrenstrasser of Austria, was crowned Miss Europe 1958 by out going titleholder Corine Rottschäfer of Holland.

Miss Europe 1969 was the 32nd edition of the Miss Europe pageant and the 21st edition under the Mondial Events Organization. It was held at the Rabat Hilton Hotel in Rabat, Morocco on 18 May 1969. Saša Zajc of Yugoslavia, was crowned Miss Europe 1969 by Paquita Torres Pérez of Spain, Miss Europe 1967. Leena Marketta Brusiin of Finland was originally supposed to crown the winner at the end of the event, but could attend the pageant due to a car accident that happened before the pageant.

Since Estonia joined NATO in 2004, Estonia has participated in many joint military operations using its Estonian Defence Forces. Estonia has also participated in NATO-led military and peacekeeping operations before 2004.
