Miss France is a French national beauty pageant, held annually in December. The competition was first held in 1920, and has been organized continuously since 1947. The trademark for the pageant is owned by the company Miss France SAS, and is a subsidiary of Endemol Shine France. The competition is aired on TF1.

Miss Belgium is a national beauty pageant in Belgium. The winner of Miss Belgium automatically represents her country at the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants if the dates do not overlap.

Nord Stream is a pair of offshore natural gas pipeline sets in Europe that run under the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany. It includes the Nord Stream 1 pipeline running from Vyborg in northwestern Russia, near Finland, and the Nord Stream 2 pipeline running from Ust-Luga in northwestern Russia, near Estonia. Both pipelines run to Lubmin in the northeastern German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Nord Stream 2 has been denied certification as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The name "Nord Stream" occasionally refers to a wider pipeline network, including the feeding onshore pipeline in Russia, and further connections in Western Europe.

Miss Europe 1930 was the third annual Miss Europe competition and second under French journalist Maurice de Waleffe. Miss Greece won and 19 girls from Europe competed in the pageant. Belgium participated for the first time and one candidacy, that of Switzerland, was withdrawn. Czechoslovakia and Turkey returned to the pageant, they haven't competed since 1927.

Miss Europe 1935, the eighth edition of the Miss Europe pageant and the seventh edition under French journalist Maurice de Waleffe. It was held in Torquay, England, United Kingdom on July 6, 1935. Alicia Navarro Cambronero of Spain, was crowned Miss Europe 1935.

Miss Europe 1937

Miss Europe 1937 was the tenth annual Miss Europe pageant and the ninth under French journalist Maurice de Waleffe. With withdraws from most of the countries maybe due to the beginning of World War II.

Miss Guadeloupe

Miss Guadeloupe is a French beauty pageant which selects a representative for the Miss France national competition from the overseas region of Guadeloupe. The first Miss Guadeloupe was crowned in 1937, although the pageant was not held regularly until 1977.

Miss Europe 1948 was the 12th annual Miss Europe. The Miss Europe pageant was cancelled for 9 years due to the onset of World War II. The pageant came back with new sponsors and with only 12 entrants. The new sponsors are Mr. Roger Zeigler and Claude Berr both of whom later created the Mondial Events Organization which owned the pageant until after Miss Europe 2002 when Zeigler and the Mondial Events Org. sold the pageant to Endemol France. This is the 1st edition under Mondial Events. No new contestants competed but some returning countries came back.

Iris Mittenaere French beauty pageant winner

Iris Mittenaere is a French model, television host, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe 2016. She is the second Miss Universe from France after Christiane Martel, who was elected Miss Universe 1953. Mittenaere had previously been crowned Miss France 2016 and Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais 2015.
