The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is a Nigerian law enforcement agency that investigates financial crimes such as advance fee fraud and money laundering. The EFCC was established in 2003,partially in response to pressure from the Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering (FATF),which named Nigeria as one of 23 countries non-cooperative in the international community's efforts to fight money laundering. The agency has its head office in Abuja,Nigeria.

Solomon Ehigiator Arase is a retired Nigerian police officer. He is currently the Chairman of the Nigeria Police Service Commission. He was appointed Chairman in January 2023 by President Muhammadu Buhari. Arase also served as the 18th Inspector-General of Nigerian Police (IGP) after Suleiman Abba was sacked. Before his appointment as IGP,Arase was head of the topmost intelligence gathering unit of the Nigerian police,the Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Bureau.
The Inspector General of Police,abbreviated as IGP is the head of the Nigeria Police Force. He is the most senior officer in the police service. The pioneer IGP is Louis Edet and the current IGP is Usman Alkali Baba.
Muhammadu Gambo Jimeta was a former Inspector General of the Nigeria Police Force. He was appointed in 1986 to succeed Etim Inyang and was succeeded by Aliyu Attah in 1990. He was also a National Security Adviser to President of Nigeria Ibrahim Babangida.

Usman Alkali Baba CFR,is the current substantive and 21st Nigerian Inspector General of Police. He was appointed by the President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari to replace Mohammed Adamu who retired from Nigeria Police Force in February 2021. The Police Council on Friday,June 4,2021,confirmed the appointment of Alkali Usman Baba as the substantive Inspector General of Police.
The 2023 Nasarawa State gubernatorial election will take place on 18 March 2023,to elect the Governor of Nasarawa State,concurrent with elections to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election—which was postponed from its original 11 March date—will be held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent APC Governor Abdullahi Sule is eligible to run for re-election and has been renominated by his party.
