The Moldova national rugby sevens team is a minor national sevens side. Moldova finished third at the 2007 European Sevens Championship.

The 2007 European Sevens Championship was a rugby sevens competition, with the final held in Moscow, Russia. It was the sixth edition of the European Sevens championship. The event was organised by rugby's European governing body, the FIRA – Association of European Rugby (FIRA-AER).

Aliona Moon represented Moldova with the song "O mie", which qualified from the first semi-final of the competition and placed 11th in the final, with a score of 71 points.

The Moldovan broadcaster TeleRadio-Moldova (TRM) organised the national final O melodie pentru Europa 2016 in order to select the Moldovan entry for the 2016 contest in Stockholm, Sweden. An initial 47 entries competed to represent Moldova in Stockholm, with 24 being shortlisted to participate in the televised national final after auditioning in front of a jury panel. After two semi-finals and a final which took place in February 2016, "Falling Stars" performed by Lidia Isac emerged as the winner after gaining the most points following the combination of votes from a jury panel and a public televote.

The Romania women national rugby sevens team has yet to compete in the Rugby World Cup Sevens,World Rugby Sevens Series and Summer Olympic Games. They are currently competing in the European Sevens Championship.
