The 2008–09 Africa Cup is the ninth edition of highest level rugby union tournament in Africa. The competition involves twelve teams that are divided into two zones. Turkey became an associate member of World Rugby in 2020. Turkish Rugby Federation also governs American football, baseball and softball activities in Turkey.
