Yadkin County is included in the Winston-Salem, NC Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Greensboro–Winston-Salem–High Point, NC Combined Statistical Area.

Fort Defiance is a historic plantation house located near Lenoir, Caldwell County, North Carolina. The main block was built between 1788 and 1792, and is a two-story, frame structure measuring 28 feet by 40 feet. A wing was added in 1823. It was the home of Revolutionary War General William Lenoir. The property was transferred to the Caldwell County Historical Society in 1965 and operated as a historic house museum.
The former High Point Bending and Chair Company, also known as Boling Chair Company and Boling Company, is a historic factory complex located at Siler City, Chatham County, North Carolina. The complex includes the original 1908 factory building, along with brick factory buildings built about 1920 and 1948. The original factory is a three-story, brick building with several additions. Also on the property is a contributing section of Cape Fear and Yadkin Railroad tracks. Any furniture left from the disaster can be worth thousands of dollars given rarity and condition.
Cape Fear and Yadkin Valley Railway Passenger Depot is a historic train station located at 325 Franklin Street in Fayetteville, North Carolina. It was built in 1890 by the Cape Fear and Yadkin Valley Railway. It is a two-story brick passenger depot with a deep hip roof in the Romanesque Revival style. The seven bay by two bay building features a rounded brick arch arcade. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
Salisbury Railroad Corridor Historic District is a national historic district located at Salisbury, Rowan County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 37 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site consisting primarily of railroad-related and commercial buildings. It largely developed during the first half of the 20th century, and includes notable examples of Mission Revival style architecture. Located in the district is the separately listed Salisbury Southern Railroad Passenger Depot designed by Frank Pierce Milburn. Other notable buildings include the Cheerwine/Carolina Beverage Corporation Building (1913), Yadkin Hotel (1913), Frick Building, Boyden-Overman Company Cotton Warehouse, and Old Freight Depot.
Durrett-Jarratt House, also known as the Isaac Jarratt House, is historic plantation house located near Enon, Yadkin County, North Carolina. It was built about 1820, and is a large, two-story, four-bay, Federal style frame dwelling. It rests on a brick foundation, has molded weatherboard siding, a gable roof and exterior brick end chimneys. It has a mid-19th century shed roofed front porch, and dining room and kitchen additions. Also on the property is a contributing commissary building. The interior features original wood graining and decorative painting.
Davis Brothers Store is a historic general store located at East Bend, Yadkin County, North Carolina. It was built in 1913, and is a two-story brick commercial building. The front facade features intact store fronts and entrances and a one-story shed-roofed canopy-like porch. Also on the property is a contributing center-passage frame storage barn dated to the 1930s.
Second Yadkin County Jail, also known as the Charles Bruce Davis Museum of Art, History, and Science, is a historic jail building located at Yadkinville, Yadkin County, North Carolina. It was built about 1892, and is a one-story, two room, hip-roofed brick building. It measures 22 feet by 36 feet. The building housed the county jail until 1928 and converted to apartments. The property was donated to the Yadkin County Historical Society in 1976, and restored for use as a museum.
LaSalle Hotel is a historic hotel building located at South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. It was built in 1921, and originally housed 223 hotel rooms. It is a nine-story, Commercial style brick building with terra cotta trim and a wide overhanging cornice. It is located next to the Hoffman Hotel and across the street from where the Chicago South Shore and South Bend Railroad's original South Bend station were once located. A tunnel connected the station and the hotel.
