Morse and Wade Building, also known as the Yadkin Valley Hotel, is a historic commercial building located at East Bend, Yadkin County, North Carolina. It was built about 1890, and is a two-story, brick building on a brick foundation. It has Italianate style design elements including arched window and door openings. The building initially housed the Yadkin Valley Hotel in the east half and the Morse and Wade Store in the west half. From about 1903 to 1940, it housed a tobacco bag factory. It is the oldest known commercial building in East Bend. [2]

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. [1]

Cape Fear and Yadkin Valley Railway Passenger Depot is a historic train station located at Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It was built in 1890 by the Cape Fear and Yadkin Valley Railway, and is a two-story brick passenger depot with a deep hip roof in the Romanesque Revival style. The seven bay by two bay building features a rounded brick arch arcade. It operated as a passenger station until about 1900, after which it housed commercial enterprises.

Yadkin College Historic District is a national historic district located at Yadkin College, Davidson County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 38 contributing buildings, 4 contributing sites, and 5 contributing structures in the village of Yadkin College. The contributing buildings include the 1856 Yadkin College building, one antebellum house, 11 houses built between about 1870 and 1890, and the Yadkin College Methodist Protestant Church (1886). The sites are the Yadkin College Cemetery, the site of the 1881 Yadkin College building, site of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and site of the post office, blacksmith shop and jail. The structures are traditional wells and corn cribs.

It was built about 1820, and is a large, two-story, four bay, Federal style frame dwelling. It rests on a brick foundation, has molded weatherboard siding, a gable roof and exterior brick end chimneys. It has a mid-19th century shed roofed front porch, and dining room and kitchen additions. Also on the property is a contributing commissary building. The interior features original wood graining and decorative painting.

Second Yadkin County Jail United States historic place

Second Yadkin County Jail, also known as the Charles Bruce Davis Museum of Art, History, and Science, is a historic jail building located at Yadkinville, Yadkin County, North Carolina. It was built about 1892, and is a one-story, two room, hip roofed brick building. It measures 22 feet by 36 feet. The building housed the county jail until 1928 and converted to apartments. The property was donated to the Yadkin County Historical Society in 1976, and restored for use as a museum.

LaSalle Hotel (South Bend, Indiana) United States historic place

LaSalle Hotel is a historic hotel building located at South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. It was built in 1921, and is a nine-story, Commercial style brick building with terra cotta trim. It features a wide overhanging cornice. It originally housed 223 hotel rooms. It is located next to the Hoffman Hotel. The hotel was located across the street from the Chicago South Shore and South Bend Railroad's South Bend station; a tunnel connected the two buildings.
