The nine provinces of South Africa are governed by provincial governments which form the second layer of government,between the national government and the municipalities. The provincial governments are established,and their structure defined,by Chapter Six of the Constitution of South Africa.

Sasekani Janet Manzini is a South African politician who currently serves as the MEC for Health in the Mpumalanga provincial government,appointed in July 2018 as well as the Provincial spokesperson of the African National Congress (ANC) in Mpumalanga. She was elected to serve on the ANC's provincial executive committee (PEC) in December 2015 from the position of provincial African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) secretary. Manzini served as the MEC for the provincial Department of Public Works,Roads and Transport from August 2016 to July 2018. Mandla Jeffrey Msibi is a South African politician and educator who has been a Member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature since May 2019. He was the MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs from May 2019 to February 2021,theMEC for Agriculture,Rural Development,Land and Environmental Affairs from February 2021 until his dismissal in October 2021 and the MEC for Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs from October 2022 until June 2024. Prior to serving in the legislature,he was the speaker and a councillor in the Mbombela Local Municipality. Msibi is a member of the African National Congress.

The Executive Council of Mpumalanga is the cabinet of the executive branch of the provincial government in the South African province of Mpumalanga. The Members of the Executive Council (MECs) are appointed from among the members of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature by the Premier of Mpumalanga,an office held since June 2024 by Mandla Ndlovu.
Blessing Thandi Shongwe is a South African politician. She formerly served as Speaker of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature from 2014 until March 2018,when she was first appointed to the Mpumalanga Executive Council as the MEC for Culture,Sport and Recreation. Following the 2019 election,she was moved to the Social Development portfolio before returning as the MEC for Culture,Sport and Recreation in February 2021. She left the provincial legislature in May 2024. She is a member of the African National Congress (ANC).

A member of the African National Congress (ANC),he served as Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Human Settlements from 2013 to 2014 and as MEC for Agriculture,Rural Development,Land and Environmental Affairs from 2014 to 2019. He is also a former mayor of Mkhondo Local Municipality and of Gert Sibande District Municipality,and he founded the Independent Community Movement Association,which is active in that region.
Thulasizwe Simon Thomo is a South African politician who is currently serving as the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for the Mpumalanga Department of Public Works,Roads and Transport. He has been a Member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature since March 2023 and the provincial chairperson of the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) since August 2022 until the disbandment of the structure in August 2023. Thomo is also a regional deputy chairperson for the ruling African National Congress (ANC) in the Gert Sibande region.
