Nabob is a brand of coffee produced by Kraft Foods and sold in Canada since 1896. Nabob produces several different blends of coffee which are available in a typical Canadian supermarket.
The Nabob Coffee Company originated in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1896. Its coffee was processed and packaged in the factory of food manufacturing company Kelly Douglas Limited. [1] The name refers to the Anglo-Indian word nabob , a term for a conspicuously wealthy man who made his fortune in the Orient during the British colonial era.
Nabob was purchased by German firm Jacobs in 1976. In 1978, the new owners extended the Nabob brand into Central and Eastern Canada and by 1986 Nabob had made its way all across Canada, Quebec being the last province to receive the brand. [1]
In 1994, the Nabob brand was purchased by Kraft Foods.
Since 2006, Nabob has been the primary coffee brand for the Tassimo coffee maker in Canada.[ citation needed ] Tassimo launched its brewing system with Nabob T Discs using Tassimo's barcode concept. [1] [2] Nabob offers twelve different types of Tassimo discs which range from their light-bodied breakfast blend to their espresso. [2] Nabob's lattes and cappuccinos include an extra T Disc of condensed milk product on top of Nabob's own disc. [2]
Second Cup Café, is a Canadian restaurant chain, coffee retailer, and roaster which operates more than 190 cafes nationwide. Its headquarters are in Pierrefonds, Québec. Its stores sell hot and cold beverages, pastries, snacks, pre-packaged food items, hot and cold sandwiches, and drinkware, including mugs and tumblers.

Gevalia is the largest coffee roastery in Scandinavia. In North America, the company sells coffee directly to consumers via home delivery and through big box stores such as Wal-Mart. Gevalia discontinued sales of tea in 2015. Customers order from a customer service center and a website that was relaunched in August 2009. Gevalia is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kraft Heinz based in Chicago, Illinois, in North America and JDE Peet's in rest of the world. Gevalia produces more than 40 different varieties of coffee and tea.

In 1886 Charles Edward Taylor Founded CE Taylor & Co., later shortened to "Taylors", the company was purchased by 'Betty's Tea Rooms' which today forms Bettys & Taylors Group. Coffee preparation is the process of turning coffee beans into a beverage. As of 2018, the company operates 230 coffee shops across Vietnam. In 2011, Highlands Coffee purchased the pho chain Phở 24 from Lý Quí Trung for an estimated US$20 million. The next year, Highlands sold 50% of its shares to the Philippine multinational chain Jollibee for US$25 million.

Nestlé Nespresso S.A., trading as Nespresso, is an operating unit of the Nestlé Group, based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Nespresso machines brew espresso and coffee from coffee capsules, a type of pre-apportioned single-use container, or reusable capsules (pods), of ground coffee beans, sometimes with added flavorings. Once inserted into a machine, the capsules are pierced and processed, water is then forced against a heating element at high pressure meaning that only the quantity for a single cup is warmed. Nespresso is a premium price coffee, and by 2011 had annual sales in excess of 3 billion Swiss francs. The word Nespresso is a portmanteau of "Nestlé" and "Espresso", a common mechanic used across other Nestlé brands.
