The National University of Modern Languages, Rawalpindi, formerly known as APCOMS, is a university branch located in Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan and is part of National University of Modern Languages. [1] [2] [3]
It was founded as Army Public College of Management & Sciences (APCOMS) in 1999 under the administrative control of the Inspector General Training & Evaluation (IGT&E), Pakistan Army. [3] Its engineering programs are affiliated with University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila (UET, Taxila) [4] and management programs are affiliated with National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad (NUML).
Initially, it started only management sciences, computer science and software engineering. Then, it started electrical engineering in 2007 and civil engineering in 2018. The founding principal Brig. Hubdar Ahmed Madni remained the principal from 1999 to 10 July 2020.
Brig. Dr. Asif Iqbal officially took over as the new principal on 13 July 2020. Subsequently, it has been converted into Rawalpindi branch of National University of Modern Languages. In September 2020, Brig. Muhammad Ibrahim officially took over as the new Pro-Rector of National University of Modern Languages Rawalpindi. In January 2024, Ibrahim was replaced by Brig. Syed Nadir Ali as Pro-Rector.

The Islamabad Capital Territory is the only federal territory of Pakistan that is centred around Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, located on the northern edge of the Pothohar Plateau, at the foot of the Margalla Hills, in the northwestern area of the Punjab region. The territory shares borders with the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the west and with the province of Punjab in the remaining directions. It covers an area of 906.5 square kilometres (350.0 sq mi) and, according to 2023 census, has a population of over 2.3 million.

Air Headquarters (AHQ) is the Headquarters of Pakistan Air Force, located in Islamabad. Initially it was established at Peshawar on 15 August 1947. Colonel Aqeel Ahmed SI(M) born 11 April 1965, is a Pakistani army colonel who currently holds the post of Secretary Heavy Industries Taxila, Ministry of Defence Production and Director Heavy Industries Taxila Education Welfare Trust after his retirement from Army. During his uniform days he Previously served as the General Manager Production (GM-P) Heavy Industries Taxila Taxila from 2007 to 2012. He belongs to the corps of EME and 70th Pakistan Military Academy Long Course. He was promoted to the rank of colonel in September 2007 and got retired from Pakistan Army in December 2012
Niaz Ahmad Akhtar is a Pakistani academic who is currently serving as the vice-chancellor of Quaid-i-Azam University, in office since 14 March 2023. He was also the vice-chairman of the Pakistan Engineering Council from Punjab for 3 years term (2021-2024).
