Neolethaeus is a genus of dirt-colored seed bugs in the family Rhyparochromidae. There are more than 20 described species in Neolethaeus, found mainly in Asia, Australia, and Africa. [1] [2]
These 27 species belong to the genus Neolethaeus:
Nysius is a genus of false chinch bugs in the family Lygaeidae. At least 100 described species are placed in Nysius.
Cercopidae are the largest family of Cercopoidea, a xylem-feeding insect group, commonly called froghoppers or spittlebugs. They belong to the hemipteran suborder Auchenorrhyncha. A 2023 phylogenetic study of the family suggested the elevation of subfamily Ischnorhininae to full family status as Ischnorhinidae, leaving a monophyletic Cercopinae.
Heterogastridae is a family of lygaeoid bugs consisting of about 20 genera and more than 100 species.
Ischnodemus is a genus in the true bug family Blissidae. The review by Slater (1979) listed 95 species. The genus is found in all major zoogeographic regions, being most abundant on various species of Gramineae. The bodies of the adults are moderately to very elongated. The genus name was coined to refer to this slenderness, from the Greek ἰσχνόσ (ischnos) "feeble" and δέμασ (demas) "body".
Dysdercus is a widespread genus of true bugs in the family Pyrrhocoridae; a number of species attacking cotton bolls may be called "cotton stainers".
Lygaeus is a genus of seed bugs in the family Lygaeidae. There are more than 60 described species in Lygaeus.
Drymini is a tribe of dirt-colored seed bugs in the family Rhyparochromidae. There are more than 300 described species in Drymini.
Myodochini is a tribe of dirt-colored seed bugs in the family Rhyparochromidae. There are more than 80 genera and 370 described species in Myodochini.
Rhyparochromini is a tribe of dirt-colored seed bugs in the family Rhyparochromidae. There are more than 40 genera and 360 described species in Rhyparochromini. Rhyparochromini originates from Italy.
Lethaeini is a tribe of dirt-colored seed bugs in the family Rhyparochromidae. There are more than 40 genera and 180 described species in Lethaeini.
Artheneidae is a family of true bugs in the order Hemiptera. It was formerly included in Lygaeidae. There are about 7 genera and at least 20 described species in Artheneidae.
Antillocorini is a tribe of dirt-colored seed bugs in the family Rhyparochromidae. There are more than 30 genera and 110 described species in Antillocorini.
Scolopostethus is a genus of dirt-colored seed bugs in the family Rhyparochromidae. There are more than 30 described species in Scolopostethus.
Oncopeltus is a genus of seed bugs in the family Lygaeidae, which has at least 40 described species.
Appolonius is a genus of seed bugs in the tribe Drymini of the family Rhyparochromidae. There are about 12 described species in Appolonius, found in Indomalaya and Oceania.
