Oasis Terraces is an integrated development located in Punggol, Singapore, next to Oasis LRT station. Developed by the Housing and Development Board (HDB), the development was built as part of a new generation of neighbourhood centres, housing the Punggol Polyclinic, a retail component with restaurants and shops, a community plaza and a rooftop community garden. [3]
Oasis Terraces was announced in October 2015 by the Housing and Development Board (HDB) as part of two new neighbourhood centres in Punggol that was progressively opened on 15 June 2018 and officially opened on 17 February 2019, and the other one being Northshore Plaza that progressively opened on 29 October 2021 and officially opened on 24 July 2022. [4] Built beside the waterway, construction began on 22 August that year and was completed in June 2018. [5] It has a total of 295,000 square feet (27,400 m2) of gross floor area, with a retail area of 193,750 square feet (18,000 m2) spread over 5 storeys and the polyclinic occupying 4 levels. [6] [7]
Located along the Punggol Waterway, the mall's facilities includes a sheltered community plaza, and a dedicated walkway through the building that connects to the Punggol Waterway. Covered walkways also connects the mall to the Oasis LRT station as well as residential blocks within the vicinity. [8] [9]
Opened on 24 November 2017, the Punggol Polyclinic is the 19th polyclinic in Singapore and is the 10th under the SingHealth group. [10] Other than outpatient medical care, the polyclinic also offers X-ray, physiotherapy, podiatry services and women health services such as screening for cervical and breast cancer. [11] The polyclinic is also the first in the country to have an automated pharmacy and is also the first to pilot an after care programme specially for new mothers with gestational diabetes mellitus. The Punggol LRT is an automated guideway transit line in Singapore. The line, which initially opened on 29 January 2005, connects the residential districts and suburbs of Punggol to Punggol Digital District and Punggol Town Centre, which consist of Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)’s campus and JTC’s Business Park, and where the town centre connects with the North East MRT line, Punggol Bus Interchange, and Waterway Point.
Pungool is a planning area and new town situated on the Tanjong Pungool peninsula in the North-East Region of Singapore. The town directly borders Sengkang to the south and shares riverine boundaries with the planning area of Seletar to the west and Pasir Ris to the east. Bounding the town to the north and north-east is the Straits of Johor, with Coney Island included as a part of the Punggol planning area.
Pasir Ris is a planning area and residential town located in the East Region of Singapore. It is bordered by Tampines and Paya Lebar to the south, Sengkang to the southwest and Changi to the east. The planning area also shares riverine boundary with Punggol to the west, separated by the Serangoon River, as well as having a maritime boundary with the North-Eastern Islands planning area, across the Straits of Johor.
Bukit Panjang is a planning area and residential town located in the West Region of Singapore. A portion of this town is situated on a low-lying elongated hill. The planning area is bounded by Bukit Batok to the west, Choa Chu Kang to the northwest, Sungei Kadut to the north, the Central Water Catchment to the east, and Bukit Timah to the south. Bukit Panjang New Town is located at the northern portion of the planning area. Bukit Panjang has an average elevation of 36m/118 ft.
The Light Rail Transit system, locally known by the initialism LRT, are a series of localised automated guideway transit (AGT) systems in Singapore which acts as feeder services to the heavy rail Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), and together forms the core of the country's rail transport services. The first LRT line was opened in 1999 and the system has since expanded to two lines, each serving three new towns, namely Bukit Panjang, Sengkang and Punggol, with a total system length of approximately 30 km (19 mi). Trains on these lines have at least one station interchange link to the MRT.
Anchorvale is a neighbourhood of Sengkang New Town in Singapore between Sungei Punggol and Compassvale. House numbers of its public apartment blocks begin with the number '3' (3xx). These housing estates were fully completed by the Housing and Development Board (HDB) in 2001.
Rivervale is a neighbourhood of Sengkang New Town located between Sungei Serangoon and Compassvale. The block numbers of the public apartment blocks in Rivervale begin with the number '1' (1xx). Rivervale was the first neighbourhood of Sengkang New Town to be built, and many of the existing housing estates in Rivervale were completed by the Housing and Development Board (HDB) as early as 1997.
Fernvale is a neighbourhood of Sengkang New Town in Singapore. It is located between Sungei Punggol and the proposed Sengkang West Industrial Estate. The house numbers of the public apartment blocks in Fernvale begin with the number '4' (4xx). Fernvale is the newest neighbourhood in Sengkang Town to be completed by the Housing and Development Board (HDB). Seletar Mall, a new shopping amenity which houses Sengkang's first cineplex, is located within this neighbourhood. In 2017, a proposed community facility to be located next to Seletar Mall was announced, which houses a community club, childcare centre, hawker centre and wet market. The community facility which was slated to be ready by the second half of 2020, had stopped construction in April 2020 due to the COVID-19 measures set by the government. Construction of the facility has since continued in the second half of 2020 and was completed in 2022.
Sengkang is a planning area and residential town located in the North-East Region of Singapore. The town is the second most populous in the region, being home to 249,370 residents in 2020. Sengkang shares boundaries with Seletar and Punggol in the north, Pasir Ris and Paya Lebar in the east, Hougang and Serangoon to the south, as well as Yishun and Ang Mo Kio to the west.

Comprising 13,810 hectares, it includes seven planning areas and is largely a residential region with 217,120 homes. Housing largely consists of high-density HDB public housing estates, however private housing is also present in the region. As its name implies, it is located in the north-eastern part of Singapore.

Designed to house up to 300,000 residents, these new towns contain areas zoned for housing, recreation and employment, and are composed of multiple neighbourhoods, each of which is further subdivided into multiple precincts. Amenities in these new towns are provided through a multi-tiered system, and based on Housing and Development Board (HDB) guidelines. As of 2022, the country has 24 new towns.

Waterway Point is a suburban shopping mall located in the town centre of Punggol New Town, Singapore, next to Punggol MRT/LRT station. The mall was built as part of Punggol's first integrated waterfront residential and retail development, Watertown. It is the first mall in Singapore to be integrated with a town square and a visitors’ centre which provides an avenue for residents and the public to learn more about the heritage of Punggol through exhibitions and civic and community events. The mall had a soft launch on 18 January 2016, and was officially opened on 19 April that year.
My Queenstown Heritage Trail is a walking trail in Queenstown, Singapore. The trail was launched in 2010 by civic group, My Community, to promote the heritage, local culture and architectural styles in Queenstown.
Punggol Plaza is a shopping mall located in Punggol, Singapore, near Coral Edge LRT station. The mall is the oldest and one of the first to be built in Punggol to cater to the needs of the residents living there. It was officially opened in September 2004.
Canberra Plaza is a New Generation Neighbourhood Centre (NGNC) built by the Housing & Development Board (HDB), the government agency in charge of public housing development in Singapore. It is one of the new Neighbourhood Centres (NCs) constructed by HDB in 10 years after the completion of Pioneer Mall and Punggol Plaza in 2004. CNN reported that Canberra Plaza will provide a "complete live-work-play-learn environment for residents and signifies Singapore's public housing for the future".
Punggol Regional Library is a regional library located in Punggol, Singapore within One Punggol, with a connecting bridge to Sam Kee LRT station and within walking distances of Punggol Temporary Bus Interchange, Waterway Point and Punggol MRT/LRT station. It is the fourth regional library to be built after the Tampines, Woodlands and Jurong Regional libraries. On 30 January 2023, its first two floors were opened to the public. The remaining 3 levels were opened a few months later on 5 April 2023.
