Vladimir Voronin is a Moldovan politician. He was the third President of Moldova from 2001 until 2009 and has been the leader of the Party of Communists of Moldova (PCRM) since 1994. He was Europe's first democratically elected communist party head of state after the dissolution of the Eastern Bloc.
The unification of Moldova and Romania is a popular concept in the two countries that began during the Revolutions of 1989. The Romanian Revolution in 1989 and the independence of Moldova in 1991 further contributed to the development of a movement for the unification of the two Romanian-speaking countries. Teodor Viorel Meleșcanu is a Romanian politician,diplomat,and jurist. He served as Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Romania (SIE) between 2012 and 2014. He was a three times senator on behalf of the National Liberal Party (PNL),Minister of Defense between 2007 and 2008,and Minister of Foreign Affairs between 1992 and 1996,in November 2014 and since January 2017 to July 2019. On 27 February 2012,upon his appointment as head of the SIE,he suspended himself from PNL and was later expelled from the party. On 10 September 2019,he was elected President of the Senate. He resigned from office on 3 February 2020.
The Trupele de Carabinieri is the national gendarmerie force of the Republic of Moldova,under the administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova. The Moldovan Carabinieri are to ensure,together with the police or independently,public order,protection of rights and freedoms of citizens,owners' properties and prevention of violations of the law. The structure of the agency is based on the Italian Carabinieri,where it gets its name.

After holding several positions as Minister,he resigned from the cabinet in May 2015,following a conviction in a case involving electoral fraud,for which he received a two-year suspended sentence in April 2016.
Cristian Diaconescu is a Romanian jurist and politician. He previously belonged to the National Union for the Progress of Romania (UNPR) and the Social Democratic Party (PSD),as well as to the People's Movement Party (PMP),which he led from 2021 to 2022. He sat in the Romanian Senate from 2004 to 2012,representing Constanța County from 2004 until 2008,and subsequently Bucharest. In the Adrian Năstase cabinet,he was Minister of Justice from March to December 2004;in the Emil Boc cabinet,he was Minister of Foreign Affairs between 2008 and 2009. He returned to the position in 2012,also under Boc,and continued in this capacity under Boc's successor,Mihai Răzvan Ungureanu.

Nicolae "Nicu" Popescu is a Moldovan author and diplomat who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova from 6 August 2021 until 26 January 2024 in the Gavrilita and then Recean cabinets. He was also Moldova's Foreign Minister from 11 June - 14 November 2019 in the Sandu Cabinet. Until his appointment,he was the director of the Wider Europe programme of the European Council on Foreign Relations and visiting professor at Sciences Po-Paris.
The Ştefan cel Mare Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is the police academy of Moldova. It is named after Stephen III of Moldavia,who ruled the country as Voivode (Prince) from 1457 and 1504. It primarily trains personnel of the General Police Inspectorate in their future service as law enforcement officers. Outside of the IGP,it also trains personnel from other law enforcement agencies under the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It is located on 21 Gheorghe Asachi Street in Chisinau.
