Oryxa is a genus of planthoppers in the hemipteran family Flatidae. They live on the islands of Borneo and Sumatra, and in Malaysia.
The genus was established in 1902 by Leopold Melichar in his monograph of the families Acanaloniidae and Flatidae. [1] [2] Melichar designated Carl Linnaeus' O. truncata to be the type species of his new genus, but Melichar's specimens were not of the species described by Linnaeus. A replacement name of Oryxa melichari was therefore chosen for Melichar's species; the status of Linnaeus' species remains unclear. [3]
Pharsalus is the type genus of planthoppers in the subfamily Pharsalinae ; it was erected by Leopold Melichar in 1906. It appears to be monotypic containing the single species Pharsalus repandus Melichar, 1906.
Friedrich Moritz Brauer was an Austrian entomologist who was Director of the Naturhistorisches Hofmuseum, Vienna, at the time of his death. He wrote many papers on Diptera and Neuroptera.

Bolitophila is the sole living genus in the Bolitophilidae, a family of Diptera in the superfamily Sciaroidea, with around 40 Palaearctic and about 20 Nearctic species, and three species from the Oriental region (Taiwan). They are small (6–9 mm.)
Max Beier was an Austrian arachnologist and entomologist.
Flatidae are a family of fulgoroid planthoppers. They are cosmopolitan in distribution and are distinguished from others in the superfamily by a combination of characters. Like all other planthoppers, they suck phloem sap of plants. Some species are known to communicate with vibrations through the plant stems. Communication may be with mates, or with ants that tend the nymphs, protecting them and gathering honeydew secretions. Adults of some species have brightly coloured forewings which are tougher and known as tegmina unlike the membranous hindwings which are used for flight. Although a few can be identified by their coloration, most species requires dissection and examination under a microscope with access to literature on already described species.
Scissurella reticulata is a species of minute sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk or micromollusk in the family Scissurellidae, the little slit snails.
