Pakistan Television cricket team was a first-class cricket team sponsored by the Pakistan Television Corporation. They competed in Pakistan's first-class, List A and Twenty20 tournaments.

After playing for some seasons in the non-first-class grades of the Patron's Trophy, Pakistan Television were promoted to first-class status to play in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in the 2010–11 season. They played 9 matches, winning 3, losing 2 and drawing 4, and finished sixth out of 10 teams in Division Two. [1] Awais Zia hit their highest score of 232 (out of a team total of 426) against State Bank of Pakistan. [2]

They returned to non-first-class status in 2011–12. They won the final in Grade Two of the Patron's Trophy in 2012–13, [3] and resumed at first-class level in 2013–14 in the top level of the Patron's Trophy, but they finished last out of eleven, with 2 wins, 7 losses and a draw. [4] They also finished last in the President's Cup One-Day Tournament, with 2 wins and 8 losses. [5]

They lost their first-class status in 2014, but regained it in 2017, and returned to the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy for the 2017–18 tournament. [6] In November 2017, in round 7 of the tournament, they were bowled out for 37 runs in their second innings against Khan Research Laboratories. [7] This was the fifth-lowest total in the history of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. [8]

In May 2019, Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan revamped the domestic cricket structure in Pakistan, excluding departmental teams in favour of regional sides, therefore ending the participation of the team. [9] The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was criticised in removing departmental sides, with players voicing their concern to revive the teams. [10]

The team's current Captain Shahid Afridi. In April 2019, Habib Bank Limited did not renew players' contracts and ended the team.

Sohail Khan is a Pakistani cricketer. A right-arm fast bowler, he gained instant recognition during his debut first-class season in 2007 when he broke Fazal Mahmood's record for the best bowling figures by a Pakistani in a first-class match. Shortly afterwards he made his international debut, in an ODI against Zimbabwe. Khan was part of the team for 2015 Cricket World Cup.

Khan Research Laboratories was a Pakistani first-class cricket side who played in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, and also competed in limited overs cricket. It was sponsored by Pakistani nuclear enrichment facility Khan Research Laboratories (KRL).

The Cricket Team of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited was a first-class cricket side who played in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy, Patron's Trophy, Pentangular Trophy and also compete in Limited overs cricket. Imran Khan is a former Pakistani cricketer. He played both first-class and limited overs matches in several domestic competitions during the late 1990s and early 2000s, with the majority of his matches coming for the Karachi Blues and the Public Works Department side.

Mohammad Abbas is a Pakistani international cricketer who plays for Pakistan national cricket team and for Khan Research Laboratories domestically. In January 2018, he was signed by Leicestershire County Cricket Club to play in the 2018 County Championship in England.

The 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was a first-class domestic cricket competition that took place in Pakistan from 26 September to 25 December 2017. Pakistan's former Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq was critical of the compressed schedule and the quality of the pitches saying "it takes time to prepare a good pitch for a game and nobody can make it in two days". Sixteen teams are competing, made up of the top eight regional teams and the top eight departmental teams. Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) were the defending champions.

Imran Rafiq is a Pakistani cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited in the 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on 26 September 2017. He made his List A debut for Multan in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup on 6 September 2018. He was the leading run-scorer for Multan in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, with 610 runs in seven matches.

The 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was a first-class domestic cricket competition that took place in Pakistan from 1 September to 8 December 2018. Following the conclusion of each match, the teams played each other in a List A fixture in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup tournament. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited were the defending champions.

Umer Khan is a Pakistani cricketer. He made his List A debut for United Bank Limited in the 2017–18 Departmental One Day Cup on 7 January 2018. He made his first-class debut for Sui Southern Gas Company in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on 7 November 2018.

The 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was a first-class domestic cricket competition that took place in Pakistan from 14 September to 31 December 2019. Habib Bank Limited were the defending champions. However, after the new domestic structure announced by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), six newly formed regional teams played in the tournament.
