Karachi Port Trust (KPT) was a Pakistani domestic cricket team, sponsored by the Karachi Port Trust. They competed in first-class and List A cricket for two seasons, in 2003−04 and 2004–05. They were set to return to first-class cricket in 2015–16, having won the Patron's Trophy Grade II the previous season, [1] but following restructuring of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy by the Pakistan Cricket Board, they failed to make it through the newly introduced qualifying tournament. [2]

First-class

In 2003–04, the Karachi Port Trust team played five matches in the Patron's Trophy, winning one, losing three and drawing one. The following season they again played five matches, losing three and drawing two, as they finished bottom of their group and were relegated to Grade II. [1]

Karachi Port Trust lost all ten List A matches they played during the 2003–04 and 2004–05 seasons. [3]

Leading players

Shadab Kabir scored most runs for Karachi Port Trust in first-class cricket, totalling 588 runs at an average of 42.00. [4] He also recorded the highest individual score, 176, against Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, [5] in Karachi Port Trust's only victory. In the same match, Shahid Iqbal took 7 for 19, the team's best bowling figures.

The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy is a domestic first-class cricket competition in Pakistan. With few exceptions, it has been staged annually since it was first played during the 1953–54 season. The team qualified for first-class cricket in May 2012, following success in the PCB Patron's Trophy tournament. Among the team's notable players is Mohammad Sami. The team is coached by former Pakistani cricketer, Rashid Latif.

Pakistan Television cricket team is a first-class cricket team sponsored by the Pakistan Television Corporation. They began competing in Pakistan's first-class, List A and Twenty20 tournaments in the 2010–11 season.

Ghani Glass cricket team is a departmental cricket team in Pakistan, that plays first-class cricket in the President's Trophy. The team is sponsored by Ghani Glass and owned by Ghani Group of Companies. The team does not have any geographical base. The team's captain in 2023–24 was Shan Masood.
