The four provinces, capital territory and two autonomous territories of Pakistan are subdivided into 39 administrative "divisions", which are further subdivided into districts, tehsils and finally union councils. These divisions were abolished in 2000, but restored in 2008.
The National T20 Cup is a men's professional domestic Twenty20 cricket competition in Pakistan. Established in 2005, it is one of the world's oldest Twenty20 cricket leagues. It was the principal T20 competition in the country until 2016, when the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise tournament was introduced. Since 2019–20, the National T20 Cup has been contested by six regional teams, having previously been contested mainly by teams representing the various city, district and area cricket associations.

The 2011–12 Faysal Bank T20 Cup was the eighth season of the Faysal Bank T20 Cup in Pakistan, sponsored by Faysal Bank. The season was to begin in the final week of September in Lahore but due to an outbreak of dengue fever, the tournament was shifted to Karachi instead. The winning team received ₨ 2.5 million as prize money and while the runners-up received ₨ 1 million.
The 2012–13 Faysal Bank T20 Cup was the ninth season of the Faysal Bank T20 Cup in Pakistan, which was held from 1 to 9 December 2012. The winning team will receive Rs 20 million as prize money and while the runners-up will receive Rs 10 million. This was also the last tournament played and was replaced with the Pakistan Super League.
The 2005–06 ABN-AMRO Twenty-20 Cup was the second season of the ABN-AMRO Twenty-20 Cup in Pakistan, sponsored by ABN AMRO. It was held in Karachi from 24 February to 4 March 2006. This edition featured an expanded format, with an increase from 19 to 39 matches and from 11 to 13 teams; the new teams being the Islamabad Leopards and the Abbottabad Rhinos. The Sialkot Stallions won the tournament by defeating the defending champions the Faisalabad Wolves in the final.
The 2009 RBS Twenty-20 Cup was the fifth season of the RBS Twenty-20 Cup in Pakistan, sponsored by RBS. It was held in Lahore from 25 to 29 May 2009. The Sialkot Stallions won their fourth overall and consecutive title by defeating the Lahore Lions in the final.
The 2012–13 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was one of two first-class domestic cricket competitions that were held in Pakistan during the 2012–13 season. It was the 55th edition of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, and was contested by fourteen teams representing regional cricket associations. It was preceded in the schedule by the President's Trophy, which was contested by ten departmental teams.
The Faysal Bank One Day Cup is the premier List A cricket domestic competition in Pakistan, which was held from 5 to 22 March 2013.
The 2013 Faysal Bank Super Eight T20 Cup was the third season of the Faysal Bank Super Eight T20 Cup. It was played between March 26, 2013, and March 31, 2013, at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. A total of 15 matches were played during the tournament.
The 2013–14 Faysal Bank T20 Cup was the tenth season of the Faysal Bank T20 Cup in Pakistan, sponsored by Faysal Bank. The tournament was held from 6 to 16 February 2014 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi; Diamond Ground, Islamabad; Marghazar Ground, Islamabad and National Ground, Islamabad. A total of 17 teams were divided into four groups, the most teams in the tournament's history. The highlight of this tournament was the inclusion for the first time of three new teams: FATA Cheetahs, Dera Murad Jamali Ibexes and Larkana Bulls. Broadcasting rights were given to PTV Sports who aired all of the matches live.
