Service Industries (known until 1999 as Servis Industries) were a first-class cricket team in Pakistan sponsored by Service Industries Limited (SIL). They played 19 matches between 1975 and 2005, winning five matches, losing seven and drawing seven.

Between 1975 and 1987 Servis Industries won five matches, lost two and drew three. In 1976-77, needing 398 to beat Lahore A in the Patron's Trophy, they scored the runs with one wicket to spare after being 258 for 8. [1]

Their highest score was 120 by Imran Bucha [2] on his first-class debut against Lahore B. He also took 1 for 19 and 5 for 40 in an innings victory. [3] The best bowling figures were 6 for 55 by Naeem Taj [4] against Hyderabad in 1986-87. [5]

As Service Industries

Between 2002 and 2005 Service Industries lost five matches and drew four. They played in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in 2002-03, and in the Patron's Trophy in 2005-06.

The only century was by Afaq Raheem, who scored 102 in the final match against Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited. [6] The best bowling figures were 6 for 37 by Asim Butt [7] in the same match.

List A matches

In 2002-03 and 2005-06 they also played nine List A matches, winning two and losing seven. [8]

Other matches

They played in various sub-first-class competitions as Servis Industries until the 1998-99 season, [9] then from the 1999-2000 season as Service Industries. [10] Victory in the finals of Grade II of the Patron's Trophy in 2001-02 and 2004-05 (each time over the Saga Sports team) led to their return to first-class competition in the subsequent season. They continue to play in Grade II of the Patron's Trophy.

In May 2019, Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan revamped the domestic cricket structure in Pakistan, excluding departmental teams in favour of regional sides, therefore ending the participation of the team. The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy is the premier first-class domestic cricket competition in Pakistan. This season, 16 teams eight region and eight department teams competed. The 2015-16 season Tournament started on 26 October 2015. The Federally Administered Tribal Areas cricket team competed in the competition for the first time. Following the completion of the group stages, Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited, National Bank of Pakistan, Water and Power Department Authority, National Bank of Pakistan, United Bank Limited, Khan Research Laboratory, Sui Southern Gas Cooperation, Lahore White and Lahore Blues all qualified for the Super Eight portion of the competition.

The 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was a first-class domestic cricket competition that took place in Pakistan from 1 September to 8 December 2018. Following the conclusion of each match, the teams played each other in a List A fixture in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup tournament. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited were the defending champions.

The 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup was a List A cricket tournament that took place in Pakistan. It was the first edition of the competition, and ran from 6 September to 4 November 2018. Each match was played after the conclusion of the corresponding first-class fixture in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

Saadullah Ghauri is a Pakistani cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Lahore Shalimar in the 2008–09 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on 1 February 2009. In April 2018, he played for Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) in the final of the Patron's Trophy Grade-II tournament. ZTBL won the match, to qualify for the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
